Is it a dream?

Is it a dream?

Will dreams come true?

Chapter 1 by ddf_21s ddf_21s

You see a light all over you. You hear the echoes far away. You try to look on your hands and you can't.

"What's happen to me?" - you try to remember who are you and what are you doing...? Where?

Slowly the images begin to appear in the fog that clouds your mind.

You are John John, 24 years old. You with your girlfriend, Jessica went to Miami on holiday. You rented water scooter and... and... Was something happened there?

And what is happening with you now?

....

The echo became louder and more distinct - you begin to hear voices in it.

"We don't know, really. Everything is fine, except the brain. Well, the brain is fine too, but we don't know how to wake it up." - you hear the low voice that sounds like a bell's toll.

"But... will he be OK?" - the other voice that sounds like a lute.

"I hope so. But coma means that we can only wait now." - the first voice answered. Now you hear that it's man's voice.

"Thank you, doctor." - it is... it is Jessica!

Not bad. Now you know that you are not dead at least. You just should wait till... till...

...

You wake up and see that ambient light as before. Slowly your vision became clearer and you see the ceiling, walls, the whole room.

You are lying in a bright room. Jessica is sitting on a chair next to you and holding your hand.

Before you can do something, the door is open and you parents come in.

"How is he?" - asks your mother.

"I'm better now." you try to speak but nobody hears you.

"We should wait. Doctor said everything is fine... except..." - answers Jessica.

"Hey! I'm OK! I can see you, I can talk!"

"Not completely." - you hear the voice next to your head.

You realize, that this dim light that you thought was a part of your tunneled vision is a someone. You try to look on him (her? it?) but you see only silhouette and hear the angelic voice.

"Who are you? An angel? Will I die?" - ask you.

"No, you aren't going to die." - the voice answers. "But you should wait."

"Wait for what? Why they don't hear me? How can I see them if I'm in coma?"

"That's why you should wait. To understand."

"To understand what?"

"That people in coma do not speak." - answers the voice. You feel that your eyelids became heavier.

"People in coma are not looking around but I am!" - protest you.

"Because you believe in that."

"I believe that I'm speaking..." - start you.

"They" - silhouette shows a sign a movement toward your family and girlfriend - "don't."

"And..."

"You will understand. Later" - the voice fades and you fall to sleep.

...

The next morning (or next time? How can you know?) you open your eyes (or do you just imagine that?) and see your room again. You are alone right now. It seems that Jessica gone home. She needs rest too.

The door is open and ...

Who is coming in?
