Invasion of the Zettari

Invasion of the Zettari

A thrilling experience of subterfuge and control

Chapter 1 by Daddy-yoda Daddy-yoda

Heel-Stone Highschool, a prestigious school found on the west coast of Canada, just north of the United States border, just on the outskirts of the urban center of New Heel-Stone. New Heel-Stone used to be a center of trade between Asia and the Americas, bringing many different people and cultures to this cute river-town now turned city. But that is no longer the case, as many of the reasons to travel through Heel-Stone simply no longer exist, as the invention of planes made the journey by ship past Alaska and into this slice of British-Columbia no longer necessary. Then, outside of the few monopoly’s that controlled the city, buissness died out, leaving this beautiful city isolated from the rest of the world.

This caused a strange effect, as all of the different cultures and strong monopolies had formed their own sense of a caste system. The children born into the family’s of these businesses held their own sense of nobility, being treated better and being granted more opportunities than that of the ‘lower people’ they were surrounded by. This trickled down to the rest of the city’s population, until everyone was viewed by their families occupation and status, not by ethnicity.

This brings us back to the city’s only high-school, a large and prestige’s building, funded well by the different businesses that owned the city. Where all of these different social rankings are to meet through the young adults that attend it.

In particular, our story starts with the meeting between three of these young adults. They sat alone in the Sci-Fi clubs pathetically small room, seated at a table that held a strange 13-sided object.

The triskaidecagon was encased in a black metal that hummed with electricity, on its surfaces housed reflective panels that seemed to have no pattern in their placement, and it’s top housed a small glass-like dome that was too dark to see inside of, as light seemed to disappear around it as one of them would try to look.

“We can’t leave it here for the night, what if a janitor cleans the room?”

Spoke the tallest and boldest of the three. Jasper Elkwood, the leader of the club. At 18 years old, he stood at an impressive 1.8 meters tall, which, along with his athletic figure showed, as his handed down uniform was a size too small.

“I can’t take it home, my sister is driving me home, I couldn’t hide it from her in that small car.”

Said Rio Takahashi, the smallest of the group. Her small frame held back a fiery personality, something that would be easy to miss due to her perfectly kept uniform.

“I could take it…”

Said the timidest of the trio, Takashi Suzuki. His skinny and uninteresting frame aligned with his extremely shy personality. He wore his uniform unorganized, wrinkles covering his shirt, and pants held unnaturally tight with his belt to keep them on his thin waist.

“…I’m walking home tonight, and I’ve got room in my backpack.”

Takashi and Rio both looked to Jasper for the answer, seeing him as the authority figure.

The question didn’t have much time to weigh in the young man’s mind, as there wasn’t much time left for their club activity’s, but he still tried to weigh the decision.

No one really knew this Takashi kid, as he’d never been open enough to gauge as a person. He could be a selfish child, but never had the opportunity to be that. But on the other hand, he’d been a member for the past year, and is part of the reason there were able to get their hands on this artifact.

After a tense moment where Takashi held his breath, Jasper agreed.

Then, almost as soon as Takashi had secured the object in his backpack, the door to the club room was opened, and in came the janitor for this section, and behind him was Chino Tori, one of the daughters of Tori electronics.

She walked into the room with a smug smile, her beautiful features almost glowing in the rooms light, as the jewelry sewn into her uniform shined.

“You three need to leave, your times up, and this room needs to be clean.”

She said, crossing her arms, relishing in the misery she was causing.

As the three started to leave, they confirmed that they would be back the next day. Rio and Takashi left, as Jasper was stopped by Chino.

“Where’s the rest of your little group? They didn’t leave you three all alone, did they? You know you need at least four students active in a club to get a room.”

She lead him into the hallway as she talked to him, and after Rio and Takashi were gone, she slowly backed him into the wall, getting uncomfortably close to him.

“They left early, we were just finishing up some business.”

Jasper responded with a little bit of worry. Knowing that this was going to happen again.

She purred to him with a devious whisper.

“Buissness? Now, what kind of business were you three finishing? Two boys and one cute girl. Didn’t take you for such a pervert. But, if you were mine, you know that I can let us have our own little club after school, just…the…two of us.”

She bit her lip, before closing her eyes, clearly fantasizing.Finding his opportunity to escape, he took it.

“Actually, a club needs at least four members for a personal room, sorry.”

He said, slipping out from the wall she had him pinned to and quickly walking away.

She leaned against the wall and pouted, but on the inside she was happy to let him get away.

That was a weekly occurrence, Chino would break up their meeting, and before Jasper could escape, she’d harass him. It was something that Jasper loathed, but every time, Chino would be unable to sleep from excitement that night. After some more time dreaming in the hallway, Chino would eventually go home.

Takashi nervously entered his home, passing the rooms of his sleeping family, and after entering his room, shakily take the strange object from his bag.

Holding it in his hands, he sat down on his bed, his heart racing.

“I deserve this.”

He thought, as he remembered the pages he’d taken from the book that now sat on the Sci-Fi clubs bookshelf.

“With all that I’ve dealt with in my life, I deserve this.”

Then, he focused on clearing his mind of everything but what he wanted, just as the pages told him to.

For everyone on earth to be under his control, no matter the cost.

Then, his room light up, as the glass on the top of the shape shined with a bright red light. The light traveled with a supernatural ability, as it curved, shinning into his eyes, instantly putting him into a trance, before it shined through him, passing by as if he wasn’t there. Up through his roof, and into the sky, heading to an unknown destination.

It traveled at a speed faster than light, almost as if it was warping through space and time to its destination.

Until it reached home.

The next morning, Takashi still sat there, the light long gone, but his trance still just as powerful.

The object, still im his hands, began to stir. The hum it had been producing slowly became louder, until it had filled the room with its buzz. Then, a blinding white light came out from the top, and after it was gone, there was something coiled on top.

Slowly, the black creature unraveled itself, its long slimy body enough of a disgusting sight to make anyone sick. At the front of its body was a bulbous head, which held a single large eye, and a mouth just like that of a humans. The head was attached to a snake-like body, starting at almost seven and a half centimeters thick at the head, before slowly thinning out until it reached three quarters of a meter long.

Looking around the room, it soon saw Takashi, still sitting in a trance, the sight causing the creature to speak in an alien language. Then, as if he could understand the words spoken to him, he stood up, placing the object down in his open backpack, and letting the creature coil its body around his head, resting on his shoulders. Then, bending over, he reached into the strange objects top, before pulling out a strange device that looked like a small remote control with a light on the end, and putting it in his pocket.

Then, at the command of the alien on his shoulder, Takashi locked the door to his room and turned on his computer. Then after the alien got a good view of the screen, it had him begin to scan the web, learning all it could about humanity and earth.

Takashi was not seen at school the next day.
