Principality of Amidonia, hardly a to be reckoned with; with a dictatorial aristocracy hellbent on retaking the lands lost to them by the Kingdom of Elfrieden. Gaius Amidonia the eighth, made stared eagerly at the sudden accession of Souma Kazuya; throwing Elfrieden into a civil war. The Three Dukes, itself a system to prevent tyrants, two of them had decided to rebel against the new king. The Great General of the land forces, Duke Carmine a proud lion beastman; was the primary power behind the rebellion. With Castor Vargas, a dragonewt and Commander of the Air , had joined the rebellion on the side of Duke Carmine. Guias and his son Julius had prepared for this invasion. Roroa Amidonia along with a few brave Ministers had counsel that the Principality of Amidonia should work on the infrastructure rather than a petty war. The two could care-less of their posturing, With a sizable and the Kingdom within a civil war; Gaius and Julius passed through the southwestern border of their shared border.

Now Southwest Elfrieden had great farmland; taking this would solve the food problem within Amidonia. Having scouted the area, Gaius and Julius were convinced that the Kingdom of Elfrieden was ignorant of their incursion; the army walked through burned down villages with little to loot, stretching the already thin supply line further. Finally the army reached the first city in their conquest, Altomura. Giaus ordered a siege, though he was persuaded not to by his son; with the understanding that the Lord of the city, Weist Garreau, would give the city by sundown. Sundown came, no surrender came; Julius counseled his father to wait till tomorrow, Giaus ordered an despite it being a night . “My son, we do not have time to waste, we must take the initiative before our enemy fortifies themselves within the very castle.” The siege had caught the defenders off guard; though they expected a fight, they did not expect a night . Gaius’ army were able to make the distance to the wall, with the defenders thin amongst the wall calling for their comrades to reinforce them. The defenders repelled the first few soldiers that climbed up their wall; however the sudden attack had overwhelmed the night guard before they could be reinforced. The defenders broke, with the defenders on the wall running into the reinforcements; chaos followed as defenders were slain left and right. By daybreak, the city of Altomura had fallen to Amidonia; their Lord slain, his head piked and visible to all. The surviving people of the city were enslaved and sent to Principality of Amidonia to either serve as ‘personal’ slaves or work slaves. Many of the women that survived were already being violated by the soldiers. To the excitement of Gaius, his army had captured Duke Excel alive; unbeknownst to them, she had been stationed here to rebuke Gaius.

The capture of Duke Excel had signified to Gaius and Julius that their incursion had been exposed. Speed was necessary now, they had to get into a better defensive position now. Lagoon City was now the best target for them; the naval base of the Elfrieden. A good position to put pressure on the Kingdom; a good place to raid other communities within the territory, a good face to the new king of Elfrieden into a pitched battle. Gaius split his in half, one to fortify and supply his newly won territory, the other is to accompany him to conquer Lagoon City. Duke Excel, for her part, would aid in the conquest of Lagoon City; not that she was willing to do so, she was stripped of her clothes and dignity. She was accosted by soldiers, and in some cases, nearly violated by the rambunctious army; had Gaius not intervened. Gaius had the disgraced Excel tied to a long shaft and lifted into the air; motivating his own forces and hopefully demoralizing the enemy. The army under Giaus marched to Lagoon City, losing discipline monetarily as Gaius wanted to march nonstop and the army wanted to take a rest. Within 4 day Gaius and his forces finally make it to Lagoon City; frustrated that they lost a day due to what he perceived as incompetence. Gaius ordered his forces to dig in for a siege as he sent diplomats to get the city to surrender. The city itself, manned by veterans within the Navy, lost its morale seeing their former commander being paraded about the enemy. The city surrendered with little to no opposition; given that their precious commander, who had served with them for many generations, had already been beaten and currently being disgraced. Normally Lagoon City would not have surrendered so easily; what changed their minds was the civil war burning through the country and the fate of Excel Walter. Excel had been the leader of the navy for so long, that fact of her defeat had shocked the troops; for an experienced veteran to be defeated; most assumed strategy or brute had won the day. It was a much more believable excuse than bad luck; either way you spun it it helped Gaius. Now the defenders had resolved, but due to the civil war and the conclusion that has yet to come; the defenders were less secured of their position. The defenders asked to be spared from pillage and enslavement. Lagoon City was disarmed and effectively was under Amidonia occupation.

By now the King had proclaimed the civil war ended and the Principality of Amidonia the violators of their lands; it was proclaimed that the Elfrieden was at war with Amidonia and that they would charge for the Capital, Van. Gaius and Julius both agreed that they must return and save Van from Elfrieden; there was no one in Van they could trust to keep it safe, especially with the princess of Amidonia floating around the place. Princess Roroa Amidonia was the daughter of Gaius Amidonia and sister to Julius; she was unconcerned with the old grudges that Gaius and Julius both held, and had revolutionary ideas that both disagreed to. Suffice to say they had to go back, lest she used this chance to play a power move. Gaius wanted to move his forces back through the Ursula Mountain Belt, for it was the straightest, quickest path; Julius counseled him to take another route going through the previously Duke Carmine’s territory. Strategically they could cut the enemy army off from friendly territory and supply lines; along with hampering air support should they decide to supply their ground forces with their air power. Should Elfrieden want to retreat then they would have to backtrack and face them or take the Ursula Mountain route, where forces in Altomura could block off the path and they could pincer the Elfriedens. Leaving 2 thousand troops to garrison the occupied cities and marching his forces into the former Dukes territory. Leaving a thousand soldiers to maintain the supply lines to Amidonia with their occupied cities. Leaving around 27 thousand able soldiers roughly if less; Gaius forces cut through the Duke’s territory with little to no resistance. A fact that Julius noted as weird; Gaius was unconcerned and desperately marched his towards Van in hopes of catching up to Elfrieden. As Gaius’ army marched into Amidonia, during the night; the main was struck by marines of Elfrieden. Or what was left of the marines after the debacle at the Lagoon City. Although the Amidonians were caught off guard by this attack; Gaius’ forces struck back, countering the enemy, driving them away, and even capturing a few. Had this sneak attack happen at the Ursula Mountain Path, many would have perished. Though he was happy at what he had caught, after removing the hood that hid her face; revealing the beautiful face of Juna Doma, someone within the inner circle of the new king. Julius was enthralled by her beauty, Gaius was attracted by her beauty; despite that, he now had an insider who to some degree understood the character of his enemy. Juna Doma was stripped of her clothes and to the ground; a collar and leash was attached to her neck. Juna Doma was to get on all fours and follow her new master Julius. Although the attack was repelled the troops were shaken by this sudden night . Still Gaius his forces to march on.

Reaching the outskirts of Van in the morning. There stood before him the army of Elfrieden; it was deception, the king didn’t want to take Van but to the Amidonia army into a pitched battle. The Elfrieden army looked twice the size of the Amidonians; they looked rather rested and prepared for the fight. It was a fight between the well rested and prepared Elfrieden army roughly 50 thousand with who knows how many are besieging the Capital vs the Amidonia army half the size and tired from the march, they still had food in their stomachs due to the conquest. Though due to the success of Amidonia within Elfrieden; Gaius can only assume that the Elfrieden was a slight bit demoralized, and could make a difference if they could hold. Elfrieden marched their forces, the left flank of 15 thousand, the right 15 thousand, and the center 20 thousand charged at the slightly disorganized army. Amidonia was put on the back foot, the forces stood their ground, desperation keeping them from breaking apart. The air of both nations had engaged each other; the Elfrieden air had given a good fight, however the Amidonian air took the air space. With air superiority the Amidonian air rained hell on the land forces; the army seeing this rallied while the enemy buckled a bit under the turning fortune. For Amidonia, they want to take the head of the king, however they didn’t want to kill the other nobles within Elfrieden; the bureaucracy within Amidonia was already thin, if they wanted to control their new territories they need some of the nobility to fill in the position of power. The Amidonia army was called to capture high rank nobles, if possible. Time passed, both sides looked bad; Elfrieden had started to question their leadership while the Amidonian were beaten bloody. The army broke to rest and lick their wounds. Counting loses Amidonia had lost roughly between 4 to 5 thousand; Elfrieden had lost what could only be assume more then the enemy. Gaius ordered his forces to entrench and set up camp. Night drew up Gaius had his forces rest for the night, nothing happened within the night.

It was only during the morning of the next day had they learned that the Elfrieden army had picked up and left. From recon from the air the Elfrieden army was heading towards the Ursula Mountain route. Seeing an opportunity to catch the Elfrieden army in a pincer attack; Julius convinced Gaius to split the army and corner the Elfrieden army in the Ursula. Gaius sent a messenger to the garrison in Altomura to immediately move to the Ursula Mountains and block off that side of the passage. Sending Julius to reinforce Elfrieden side of the passage while his headed towards the Amindonian side. It was again a march, of which Gaius’ men chafed under, but they did make it in time; catching the Elfrieden army in their trap. For three days and three nights the Elfriedens attacked, desperately trying to break-out of the trap only to be stopped. The Amidonian air kept the skies clean of the enemy. As the Sun rose on the 4th day of this trap; the king stepped forward, flanked by his bodyguard Aisha the dark elf. The king surrendered himself to Amidonia; the king as well as the princess and some of his close advisors were taken hostage. The Elfrieden army was disarmed and severely neutered. A round of peace negotiation was headed within the Amidonia Capital.

Gaius sat on his throne overlooking the defeated king Souma. Upon the captive that he took there was: Princess Liscia Elfrieden, personal bodyguard Aisha Udgard, and another bodyguard Carla Vargas; all of course wore collars. It seemed the rumors surrounding this king Souma were true; he had quite the eye for beauty. The three collared women stood at attention; with only Liscia given the dignity to wear clothes. Excel Wolter laid under Gaius cleaning his rod and Juna Doma doing the same, under the table, with Julius as he did the negotiations with king Souma. Giaus himself thought it wise to let his son handle most of the negotiations. Day had passed before the negotiations had broken down, well for Elfrieden that is; Elfrieden as a kingdom would be dissolved and incorporated into the Principality of Amidonia with the southern part of Elfrieden set aside as a protectorate of Amidonia. Elfrieden would also have to pay a yearly tribute; along with the top officials cooperating with Amidonia. The king of Elfrieden would be beheaded; while the princess would marry the king of Amidonia. It was also stated that the king’s harem would also be joining Gaius Harem; though unbeknownst to him Souma had no formal harem. That being said both Aisha and Carla would join his harem as concubines; despite not having a harem both Aisha and Carla were perceived to be a part of Souma’s harem. Despite the Mankind Declaration Treaty not acknowledging the new borders; the Amidonian argued, annoyingly to the Gran Chaos Empire, that Elfrieden wasn't a signatory and therefore was not protected by the clauses in the treaty. Even before the execution of the former king Souma, Giaus had divided his army to garrison the newly won territory. With the yields of food coming from their new territory the Amidonian territories were alleviated. The newly rechristened Kingdom of Amidonia wasn’t without its problems, however it was in a state better then it started. Finally Giaus’ forefathers were avenged and he had gotten a bounty of women to boot.
