Hopper Pills

Harry pulled his keys out of his pocket, unlocking the door to his apartment. It had been a relatively standard day at work for him but it had still worn him out quite a bit. Being a Friday night, he didn’t have to worry about work the next day so he had decided to have some fun somehow before going to sleep.

Harry was an organised man, everything in his apartment had its place and as such, everything out of place stood out to him like a sore thumb. This was the case for that bottle, that off bottle of pills he found on the kitchen counter. He had never seen them before in his life. He scratched his head confused how they could have gotten there as he reached down and picked them up.

Along the side of the bottle was a large label reading “HOPPER PILLS” and below was some finer print describing what they were and how they worked. Harry continued reading along “Simply pop one of these and your soul will magically be given control of another person in the world! Time spent swapped varies from user to user though typical results last for 5-7 hours. During this period, the user’s body will be put into a deep slumber - so find somewhere to get comfortable before popping a HOPPER PILL!”

Harry chuckled to himself as he stepped out of the kitchen and approached his bedroom with the bottle in hand. He merely thought that the bottle was planted there by one of his friends planning to pull a prank on him. But surely it couldn’t hurt to try right?

Harry followed his usual routine to get ready for bed and then slipped under the covers. Reaching over to his bedside table, he grabbed the pill bottle, unscrewed the lid, took one out and screwed the lid back on. He popped the pill in his mouth and swallowed.
