Hermione's Adventures in Hogwarts

I ran under the invisibility cloak I'd stolen from Harry toward the forbidden section of the library. I cautiously eyed my stolen Marauder's Map for any sign of nearby teachers, but fortunately my route seemed to be completely deserted.

I had discovered a way to open these books without triggering their curse. The true trick to reading a book from the Forbidden Section was simply taking the book away from the section. Why I went alone, I did not know. I guessed it was because if I discovered anything truly amazing in the section, I wanted to be the first to know.

"Lumos," I muttered, bringing light to the old book titles. Two titles caught my eye.

The first of the titles was Forbidden Human Transfiguration by Cyvil Waddleduck. A glance at the cover told me it definitely wasn't JUST about giving humans spell proof skin.

The second of the titles was Control of the Mind by Wendy Wooler. No depictions on the cover, but its title seemed to speak for itself.

I knew I could only take one of these books, for risk of activating a second surprise curse.
