"Do you have a reservation, Madame?" The maitre de asked Jean.

"I'm here to meet someone. Emma Frost."

"Miss Frost is already at her table. Right this way, please."

"Thank you." As she walked Jean noticed more than a few eyes turning
her way. With her look she turned heads even when dressed casually,
in a green blouse, and tan skirt that stopped about a inch above her
knees, and two inch heels. Emma was dressed in a white business
suit. The skirt was short so today she was highlighting her legs
rather than her tits.

"Hello Jean."

"Emma. Why did you want to meet me?"

"We obviously need to talk. About Scott. And I thought here in
public, among the normal people we'd be more likely to do that in a
civilized way. No temptation to go after each other and make the X-
men sort it out."

"I suppose that's all right. Although I'm surprised you're so eager
to be called a husband stealing whore in public."

"We're not ready to order," Emma told the man she assumed was the
waiter.

"You've got me mistaken for someone else Emma."

"Shaw? I'm afraid you've come at a bad time, unless you want your
brain erased."

"Hellfire Pawns."

Both Emma and Jean's faces blanked for a second and then they
smiled. "Please have a seat, Sebastian."

"Thank you. I suppose you're wondering what happened. Do you
remember when you joined the Hellfire Club, Jean? Emma set up a
codeword in your mind that would render you under our control, in
case Mastermind ever betrayed us. Without Emma's knowledge I had you
do the same to her, and go deeper crafting a new personality with a
second code phrase. I tested the first level on Emma making her
create a second personality for you. Did you want to say something,
Emma?"

"I never did that."

"Do you recall when Mesmero tried to joining our ranks. One of the
tests I gave him was to hypnotically suppress that memory. He failed
the other tests though. Jean?"

"You're really just a typical villain, aren't you? Explaining all
this?" She was smiling as she said it in a perfectly normal voice.

"Actually no, I just wanted to give you all time to acclimate to
being under my control, and also wanted to make sure that the
changeover to the second personalities weren't to traumatic and you
didn't resist. Now my Hellfire Whores it's time for you to entertain
these good people."

The two telepaths combined were easily able to create a field where
everyone within believed that whatever happened was perfectly
normal.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, it seems I've made a terrible mistake," Emma
announced. "It seems I've forgotten my credit cards and don't have
enough cash with me. I was wondering if perhaps you might be able to
contribute something. I assure you we wouldn't ask you for your
money and not provide anything in return." With that Jean tore open
both their shirts with her TK.
