Genie of Truth

I wish I wish...

Chapter 1

Long ago, in a time lost to men, three sisters, wanting limitless power, struck a deal with a powerful warlock. However, they had been deceived, and turned into genies. Now to grant unlimited wishes to whoever finds their lamps, the sisters also have specific guidelines to follow with the wishes they grant.

The eldest became the genie of truth, and she must always grant her master's wishes, no matter how immoral or wrong.

The middle sister became the genie of lies. If she came across a Master who was immoral and wrong, she could manipulate the wish to (hopefully) teach him a lesson.

The youngest became the genie of deception. She would grant wishes...wishes that came with an untold price.

This is a chronicling of one of the genies, the genie of truth, and her new Master, a Mister John Doe.

John hefted the last box out of the attic of his grandfather's old home. It was hard to believe the old man had died. John, as his favorite grandchild, was tasked with removing all of his grandfather's possessions from the house.

"That's the last of it,"he sighed. He began to stack the boxes on top of each other, when something fell out of one.

"What is this?"he wondered. It was a lamp of some kind, Indian or Middle Eastern by the looks of it. His grandfather was an artifact collector, but John didn't remember this ever being in the house...

He reached down to pick it up, and red smoke started billowing out of it. Suddenly, a woman appeared.

"Greetings, Master, I am Nuere, Genie of Truth."she said.

"A genie?" John wondered. Then he saw a note stuck on the inside of the lamp. He picked it up and read it.

-John, this lamp is among the many things I am leaving to you in my will. Enjoy it for many years, as I did. Love, Granddad.

"Holy shit!" John cried. "So you're a real genie?"

Nuere nodded. "And I am here to grant wishes."

"So, do I only get three wishes?"

She shook here head. "No. You touched my lamp. That means I am bound to you for all eternity, until you die, so unlimited wishes for you!"

"Cool, but how do I know you are telling the truth?"asked John.

"Simple. Make a wish."

John figured this had to be a prank. His grandpa had to be trolling him or something. But he figured he would play along.

"I wish..."

The wish?
