Gender Darwinism

It was a new decree, a reform or whatever you called it. Societies across the galaxy had become unruly and some systems threatened to overthrow the Commonwealth that united all nations and races under one banner. To appease the masses, competitions were held on barren or abandoned planets. These planets were more like gigantic Arenas, where contenders would fight for a prize. Some Arenas had no goal. Some had no prize. The goal was only to survive... or not.

But where to get these contenders. They did not have to look far. They had gladiators who would fight to the **** or survive if it meant their freedom. No one had to sign up. They were actually **** against their will.

Inmates, criminals of various crimes, from the most humblest of crimes to the most evil. If one was serving a sentence for a crime, they were eligible to participate and they were allowed to randomly picked them and send them across the galaxy and be **** to fight.

That was 100 or so years ago. The Arenas became dull and inmates threatened to unite amongst their criminal brethren and overthrow the authority set over them. It was supposed to be another reform. You see, most of the contenders were male. Females hardly were put through that kind of rigorous competition and battle. Most agreed to served their sentence through servitude and that protected them from the Exile.

Not until one race came forth and proposed to provide a means to again appease the masses. Their idea: Why not transform the males into females and have them enter the Arenas? They will still technically be part of the male population. They were right about that. The protection for female did not allow male-to-female transgendered, meaning a whole new type of entertainment.

That was fifty or so years ago. This race (I still don't know who are what they are) provided a odorless **** that was administered through the air vents of a cell. The gas, which actually contained millions of microscopic nanobots, made contact with the male bodies of the inmates in the cell and started to transform them at the microscopic level, literally turning boys into sexy girls.

I was one such victim of this reform. Not everyone got it though. Murderers, terrorists, even hackers and financial thieves were off the hook. This reform was actually focused on those who deserve this cruel and most unusual punishment. Rapists, sex offenders, pedophiles. I was one such criminal. Human. But first...
