Chapter-1: C-Claire

Mike and Claire of the town of Eastwood in the West were really famous for how both of them were complete opposites. They were the couple that no one could even suspect would date each other.

Claire was a bright child, thin and blonde. She got accepted into the S-University, a prestigious institute famous for having an alumni network of CEOs, Prime Ministers, and Billionaires.

Mike, on the other hand, was an athlete famous for his streak of tournaments he went into. He went to a total of twenty-three tournaments, and his record is losing in all twenty-three of them.

And then there is Sam, Mike's rival player and his best friend. Sam is everything that Mike wants to be: Rich, Respected and an athlete with a record of twenty-four winning streaks. Sam got selected for the National Boxing Team.

Claire left for S-University, and it's been over a year since both of them met. They were in contact throughout the year, but recently Claire has started to invest less and less in Mike. Mike suspects something but quickly puts this thought in the trash. He has been keeping a secret from Claire for over a year now.

With a letter in hand, Mike was standing in front of the gate of S-University. He went to the administration block and handed over his acceptance letter to the receptionist there. After some paperwork, the receptionist handed him the keys to his hostel room.

Mike picked up his briefcase with his left hand, and a bouquet of roses was in his right hand. He scratched the back of his neck before speaking. "May I ask you something?"

The receptionist, a woman in her late thirties, lifted her gaze toward Mike with slight interest. " Yes, what is it?"

"I want to know about a senior here, Claire from the Business Department," Mike asked with a blush.

The receptionist giggled, looking at Mike, and her fingers were now running on the keyboard. Thirty seconds later, she said: " Is she in her second year?"

"YES YES." A smile spread across Mike's face.

"Ok, the Business Department is on the left. You can ask anyone; they will tell you. She is popular here."

"Thank You." Mike bade farewell at the reception and went to the hostel room to drop off his briefcase first. After spending nearly ten minutes gathering his courage and imagining Claire's reaction, Mike finally made his way to the campus park.

Mike's eyes swept across the park. Couples sat beneath the trees. Students chatted around the fountain.

Claire wasn't among them.

Then he saw some students there, but Claire was nowhere to be seen. Mike approached a group of students. "Excuse me. Do you know Claire from Eastwood?"

They looked in Mike's direction and noticed the bouquet of red roses in his hands. A student spoke. "She was here a moment ago. Who are you?"

"We're childhood friends. I came to surprise her," said Mike.

A girl said. "She went that way with Sam."

"Sam," Mike said in an excited voice, confident that this Sam was his best friend.

"H-Her..."The girl opened her mouth to say something, but Mike was already running in that direction.

Mike was actively looking for Claire and reached an isolated area at the corner of the campus park's boundary. A small room was there, and Mike was wondering where she was.

He heard someone panting mixed with some lewd noises.

Mike blinked in disbelief. Seeing something like this in the middle of the campus was the last thing he expected. After a brief hesitation, he walked toward the source of the voices.

He leaned against the wall and craned his neck to see what was going on, and he finally found Claire and Sam.

Author: Thank god, finally.

What he saw made his mind go blank.

Claire was pressed against the wall, her skirt pushed up around her waist. Her legs were wrapped tightly around Sam's hips. Sam was thrusting into her hard and deep, the wet sound of skin hitting skin loud in the quiet corner. Claire's head was thrown back, her mouth open, moaning without any shame.

"Faster… Ah… Sam… Ah... harder… fuck me…" she begged, her voice high and desperate. Her nails dug into Sam's shoulders as she pulled him closer.

Sam gripped her thighs and slammed into her with full force, grunting with every thrust. "You love this cock more than that loser, don't you?"

"Yes… only yours… don't stop…" Claire moaned loudly, completely lost in it.

The bouquet of roses slipped from Mike's hand and fell to the ground. His chest felt tight, like someone was crushing it. He just stood there, watching the girl he had loved since childhood get fucked by his best friend.

For a few seconds, he couldn't even breathe.

Then something inside him broke.

"C-Claire…" His voice came out weak and cracked.

Both of them froze.

Sam turned his head first. When he saw Mike, a slow, ugly grin spread across his face. He didn't even pull out. He just kept Claire pinned against the wall.

Claire's eyes widened for a second, then her expression changed. The panic disappeared, replaced by irritation.

"Mike?" she said, still breathing hard. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Mike's hands were shaking. He tried to speak, but only a broken sound came out at first. Finally he forced the words out.

"How long…?"

Sam laughed and finally pulled out of her, not even bothering to fix his clothes properly. "Over a year, bro. You were just too stupid to notice."

Claire pulled her skirt down slowly, looking at Mike with something close to disgust. "You were always busy with your useless training and your stupid dreams. What did you expect me to do? Wait forever for a guy who loses every single fight?"

Mike's vision blurred. His throat was burning.

"I… I came here to surprise you," he said quietly. "I got into S-University. I wanted to tell you…"

Sam snorted. "Congratulations. You're still a loser though."

Claire crossed her arms. "Just leave, Mike. This was never going to work. You're too soft. Too weak. Sam actually knows how to take what he wants."

The words hit harder than any punch Mike had taken in the ring.

He stood there for a moment longer, staring at the two people he had trusted the most. The roses lay crushed on the ground near his feet.

Without saying another word, he turned around and walked away.

His chest felt hollow.

Every breath hurt.

Behind him, he could still hear Sam's low laugh and Claire's voice saying something he couldn't make out.

Mike kept walking until the sounds faded.

Only then did his legs give out. He sat down on the nearest bench, staring at nothing, as the last pieces of the life he knew completely shattered.

[Told you.]

[Predicted outcome: 94%.]

[Emotional collapse confirmed.]

[Host's current state: Broken.]

[Reminder: This is why the training existed.]

[Question: Will the host continue… or stay a loser?]

The screen stayed there, waiting.

Mike stared at the words; his jaw tightened.
