Face-To-Face

The year is 2346 A.D. Humans long ago outgrew the resources available to them on Earth and had to resort to colonizing other planets. A vicious war with a foreign alien race, the Elvar destroyed much of the human populace and settlements, once again leaving Earth the over-crowded population center of the world.

In order to reclaim all the territory lost the United Terran Congress pushed forward a program to speed up the process of recolonizing old planets. By cloning the remaining humans, a clone could in theory be made and then sent to another planet also populated by a mix of people and other clones, keeping the gene pool from shrinking too much. The end result would be efficient, cheap and fast as all of the propaganda concering the project suggested.

The person sitting outside the door to the Orbital Research Station's medical experimental labs didn't feel nearly as assured. They took a look outside the ship, able to see like they were sitting next to a window despite being in the center of the facility due to a holographic relay. It even simulated glare like a real viewscreen might and the human caught a look of themself in the "window"
