Eternity of Desire

When the universe was born in a maelstrom of cosmic fire, the Immortal was born with it. He had no tangible body of his own, but his keen intelligence grew alongside the stars and galaxies. In time, he came to discover his power over the material universe and all the dimensions that comprised it. With this discovery came curiosity.

The Immortal investigated the vast mysteries of creation, and was soon intrigued to find that other creatures existed in the material world. Like him, they seemed self-aware and thirsty for experience, but unlike him, they had a physical reality. Their lives were consumed by hungers and passions he could not comprehend. Many of these urges he came to understand over time, but an understanding of mortal sexuality eluded him. Why did these beings hunger so for the touch of others? It was not simply reproduction, for not all mortal lusts could be sated in ways that would produce offspring.

Long ago, the Immortal had learned that when he desired, he could create change in the material world he was not a part of. His power was without limit, and he had amused himself for quite some time simply by shaping stars and planets to his liking. Now, he once again sought to experience with the material plane, but this time he hungered to shape the lives of sentient, sexual beings. He wished to learn what drove them, what aroused them, and what satisfied them.

He cast his mind far adrift into the whirlwind of existence, seeking a hot spot of desire that he might be able to experiment upon. At first the way before him seemed cloudy, but soon a path to mortal lust opened before him....
