In a small, forgotten town situated in the metro area of a much larger city existed an amusement park born in the golden age of amusement park construction. Before the internet took off, before punk bands conquered the 90's, and before the world would become what it is today, Greater World was another amusement park jumping in to cash up on the endless fun cash grab that was roller-coasters, water slides, and entertaining attractions.

Of course, that is until the dawn of the internet era. Music videos, video games, TV, streaming services, and more all dealt indirect but enormous blows to the industry. Many were well-equipped to survive each of these crisis, but Greater World's constant turmoil involving cover-ups and countless regulation violations lead to their slow but steady decline, until eventually the park was a simple "Pay $25 and ride it all" park, with barely any maintenance at all on the only 9 working rides left in the park.

All of this was painting a sure demise for Greater World. But Caroline Adams had not a care in the world for the park's future. She had higher prospects and needed a new job after her place of employment closed in the wake of the virus that swept the globe, and miraculously Greater World had found a way to cling to life momentarily, and even offered her decent pay to do the job: night watch. It was simple. Stay in a closed room with TVs and multiple safety measures while check cameras for anyone sneaking on the property. If they looked harmless, she was supposed to approach them and tell them off. If they looked dangerous, she could call the police. A job that seemed far too easy and accessible to offer a $20 an hour pay at 5 nights a week.
