A Revolutionary Path for Tomorrow's Woman Leaders

Since 1994, Drexel College has held fast to one mission: to provide women with quality education and a supportive social environment that will empower their future success. At our campus in scenic Belford, Connecticut, we pursue this mission with the same dedication we have since our founding. Our first-rate liberal arts curriculum offers students their choice of over 50 departmental, interdepartmental, and structured majors, as well as the flexibility to design one's own personalized program. Our campus' historic architecture and natural beauty provide a serene learning environment, while the nearby town center offers a plethora of amenities. Our mandatory dorm residence policy and unique philosophy of student conduct foster a culture of friendship, closeness, and mutual support that provides students with a social networking foundation that truly is one of a kind.

A Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Drexel College was founded as an institution focused on empowering women, and we recognize that an intersectional perspective is essential to that mission. We welcome transgender women and nonbinary people assigned female at birth, and offer a comprehensive range of financial aid options to ensure women from all backgrounds have the support they need to succeed.

Our Uniform and Sexual Conduct Policies

Certainly Drexel's two most unique features, and among the most popular with students and alumni, are our dress code and sexual conduct philosophy. As part of our core mission of empowering women, we work to cultivate an atmosphere of body- and sex-positivity on our campus. The first component of this atmosphere is our student uniform, required at all times while on campus outside of residence halls during the academic week.

A photo slideshow features images of Drexel students wearing the college's uniform around the campus. The core pieces are a white button-up blouse under a burgundy blazer, both tailored to midriff length, accessorized with a red neckerchief. Below the waist, all the students pictured wear black formal shoes in various styles and black knee-high socks or thigh-high stockings, some sheer, some opaque. Between the tops of their socks or stockings and the hems of their blazers, all are naked, bare pussies and butts fully on display, with one exception: a single girl in one of the groups wearing a pair of simple, modest purple panties that serve to hold a menstrual pad in place. Another picture also shows a group of girls in Drexel's phys-ed uniform, which is much simpler: a burgundy midriff t-shirt bearing the college's crest, black socks, and athletic shoes, with everything between shirt and socks still uncovered.

Through our uniform, we seek to normalize and liberate women's bodies and genitals, which have so often historically been subject to judgment and unjust restriction. Our faculty members are likewise required to maintain the same level of dress during working hours, in the interest of equality and fairness.

The second key component of our body-positive philosophy is our sexual conduct policy. In contrast with society's penchant for persecuting and restricting women's pleasure, we at Drexel believe that pleasure is the birthright of all women, and urge students and faculty to embrace and enjoy their sexuality without shame. Within necessary limits for safety and avoiding academic disruption, students are permitted and encouraged to engage in self-pleasure and sexual contact at any time and place on campus. Through this celebration of pleasure and intimacy between women, our students grow closer and support one another further. Of course, we recognize that consent is the most essential part of a sex-positive atmosphere. No student is ever required to engage in any sexual activity under any circumstances, and we take safety and consent with the utmost seriousness.
