General Warning: This story is meant to be experienced through the game mode. While you are free to go through the story however you like, if you read outside of the game mode, all of the routes are accessible at once. For example, you could have made an important choice on whether to eat an apple or banana. If you chose the apple and you are playing outside of the game mode, you will have access to routes where the character has eaten the banana. So while playing outside of the game mode will provide you with access to all the chapters at once, it can lead to confusion. I hope you enjoy the story!

Bruce took another sip from his tea. He was in the indie coffee shop below where he worked, well...Today had been quite the blur. This morning he had woken up next to his boyfriend, Will, now...

I think we should see other people Bruce...

...I don't think this is working...

Bruce hadn't stayed long enough to figure out if they were still together. What would he do? What about their cat, Bill? A thousand other questions came flooding into his head.

Could you see me in my office, Bruce...

His mind was spinning. He took another sip of his tea.

I am afraid your work performance hasn't made the cut. I'm sorry Bruce, but we have to let you go...

Please sir, I need this job!

I am sorry. Now please leave my office.

That had been an hour ago. Bruce had stumbled his way down here to the cafe. Of course, they only fired him after working the full day. He took another sip of his tea. A barista came up to him.

"I'm sorry sir, but we are closing for the night. I'm gonna ask you to leave," he said.

"Oh...okay." Bruce says, getting up reluctantly. He exited the cafe, the bell dinging behind him. He walked on the sidewalk back to his apartment. His mind was hurting and he felt so tired. When he got to the apartment building, he buzzed in and walked to the stairs. As he climbed up, he began dreading every step. He wasn't ready to talk his boyfriend just yet. He stopped two doors down from his apartment and rang the bell.

"Who is it?" a man's gruff-sounding voice called.

"It's your neighbor Bruce." Bruce said, "I know it's getting late, but I..." The door creaked open.

"Hey Bruce," a woman's voice said cheerily, "What's up."

"Hi Lonnie and Mitch, I was wondering if I could ask a favor,"

"What to you need? A cup a milk?" Mitch joked.

"Not quite," Bruce laughes, putting a hand behind his head, "I was just wondering if I could borrow your couch." Bruce speedily follows this up, "I would just need to sleep on it and I'd be gone before you wake up. Just for one night," Bruce says extending a finger.

"Heaven's yes of course," Lonnie says, "But wouldn't you be more comfortable in your own bed?"

"Will and I...well I don't know what Will and I are right now..." Bruce stammers out and Lonnie grabs his arm.

"Got it. You are more than welcome here hun. As long as you need."

"Lonn, shouldn't we talk..." Mitch begins but he is cut off.

"You agree right Mitchie," Lonnie says quickly, guiding Bruce to the sofa.

"Yes," Mitch says after taking a breath.

"Good, now here are some extra blankets and if you need anything, we are at the end of the hall. You are welcome to shower as well hun, I'll leave out a towel and some of Mitch's old clothes." Lonnie says walking down the hall,

"You're doing what," Mitch says following her back to their room. Before Bruce knew it he was alone again, lying on the sofa. He didn't shower, he didn't want to overstep. Mitch was kind enough for putting up with him. Bruce turned off the lights and lay down on the sofa, wrapping the blankets around him.

"Just for the night," Bruce says to himself, and soon he was out, gone from the world.

Bruce open's his eyes. Wiping the grogg from his eyes as he gets up. Something was off, everything looked brighter, slightly tinted purple, and was warped. Bruce takes a step and the tile floor beneath him pulses, as if he was walking on jello.

"What the fuck," he says talking a few steps, over towards the patio. Through the window, he saw the night sky, except the sky was everywhere and tinted the same color purple. The moon shined a dark light like an inverted sun, surrounded by smaller stars.

"Mitch! Lonnie!" He says and suddenly, his head spins, his body feels like he was pulled, no dragged, through an ocean of water. He opens his eyes and sees himself standing in their bedroom, both of them are fast asleep still, the world still swimming in the dark light of the moon.

"Hey man," Bruce says, putting a hand on Mitch's sleeping frame. However, instead of resting on Mitch's shoulder, Bruce's hand fell through into Mitch, and with his hand, Bruce fell too. It was cold as he fell, lights blur, and then, the feeling of impact. He picked himself up. It was light again, but he was pressed against the wooden floor of what looked like an old victorian house.

There were many doorways in front of him and a staircase leading upstairs and downstairs. There was also a clanging sound coming from downstairs.

Where does Bruce go?
