Draw the Lines
There are some things people will never do; what if you could change that with a magic book?
Chapter 1
by BiBiComte
A sketchbook, plain-looking besides it's sparkling binding comb, which looks sleeker than usual, lies in a new someone's requisition. 'Drawbook' is etched in medium-sized lettering on the front. Upon a simple impression, it doesn't seem to be anything valuable or different. Inside, however, behind the black cover, spreads an ornately fonted preface of some sort. Reading it, it says...
Somewhere, at some point, everyone draws a line.
Where do you draw yours?
...or, perhaps, there's no need to answer that. After all, since you're the one in possession of the great Drawbook, you don't need to worry, now, do you?
Of course not.
Instead, you must be wondering, what should I know to get this to work properly?
It's simple, really. This is a magical book, the origins of which lie in an ancient practice long forgotten. The remnants of this knowledge, however, has been kept alive among a secret assemblage of people. This Drawbook represents one such artifact, now lost into the hands of people like you and me. No worries. The parties constructed to safeguard such power has long since disappeared into the annals now.
Here are the tenets of the Drawbook needed to use it at its most minimum functions:
1.) Write the name of the person, group of people, or body (while thinking of the one you mean) on the top of the page.
2.) Draw either a circle, square, or triangle. Words will automatically fade in; they will all refer to some kind of concept, sentiment, or action/deed.
3.) In this shape, whatever is written inside it, is something the person is willing to do -- something at which they do not "draw the line."
3a. In order to filter results which only display things a person is willing to do in relation to a specific person/group, such as the drawer, write their name on the bottom of the page, and all results and effects will be exclusive to that relationship.
4.) Depending on the shape, a different effect can be imbued.
4a. In a circle, the default effect is used -- the person will no longer 'draw a line' at whatever you write within it, and will treat it as perfectly acceptable, normal, rational.
4b. In a square, the person will no longer 'draw a line' at whatever you write within it -- but they will still see it as illogical and/or wrong if they did so before the change; however, they will not stop it from happening if it does manifest itself.
4c. In a triangle, the person will no longer 'draw a line' at whatever you write within it -- instead, it will become something they actively support or try to impose within their life as if a new favorite preference/personal quirk and so on.
5.) To implement more things at which a person 'draws the line', write it outside of the shape's edge and the person will no longer find it acceptable.
These are the fundamentals. Other secrets remain. More than enough are revealed here, that place in your hands the reins to all will, of all people. Those of a million lines, those of a select few, those who will never cross lines with you again.
