Ditzy Dice
The Devil’s Transformation Game
Chapter 1
by UrielCifer
(This story is inspired by Gardamuse’s “Ditzy Dice”, which can be found on blushingdefeat.com. Most everything in this story will come from that game, with my own additions being dialogue and a continuous story. I hope you enjoy!)
When you open your eyes, you find yourself sitting in a plush armchair on the other side of a table from a man with red skin and glowing eyes. A wicked smirk covers his face, showcasing his sharpened canines.
Looking around some more, you find that the room you are in is practically barren. Just a door on the walls to the left and right. The dark red walls are hung with crimson silk, and the table before you is a dark wood, dark enough to appear black.
And sitting there on the table are two things: A collection of dice. And a stack of cards embossed with ‘DD’.
“Welcome, mortal.” The crimson skinned man announced, his voice deep and rich. “I have brought you here to give you the chance to participate in a game I like to play from time to time with random mortals. You, my good sir, happen to be the lucky person this time around.”
“Umm,” You mumble. “Who are you? And… where am I?”
“Oh, where are my manners?” The man said faux-politely. “I am the Devil. You know, Lucifer, Satan, et cetera, et cetera. And you, my friend, are in Hell.”
You feel your eyes widen as, deep in your mind, you can feel the truth in his words. Your breathing starts to quicken, panic overcoming you, when the Devil waves his hand and all your fear flows away.
“Now, now, no time for panic attacks. You have yet to agree to my deal, after all.”
“What-” You lick your lips. “What kind of deal?”
The Devil’s smirk widens. “Why, the one with stakes!” The Devil stands from his chair, leaning forward and resting his hands on the table. “Here’s the deal, you see. I have a deck of… special cards.” He waved to the deck before him. “Many of the cards will reward you with great gifts and powers. With the right options and quite a bit of luck, you could easily become the most powerful person on Earth.
“The caveat to that, though, is that some of the cards will, rather than reward you, transform you somewhat. Some will change you physically, some will alter your mind. Some will cause things to happen around you, and not always to your benefit.”
The Devil made a show of pointing to the dice. “Of course, I can’t have you just picking the winners from every group of cards you draw, so you’ll be choosing your cards by rolling these dice. Now, don’t worry, you can choose how many dice you want to roll to give you the best odds.”
He sat back in his chair, folding his arms over his chest, his smirk plastered wide on his face. “So, what say you? Will you take my deal?”
You feel your thoughts race as you try to figure out what the Devil is hiding to trap you, anything that might help you in this situation. You are barely thinking for more than a few seconds when he pipes up again.
“Oh, I almost forgot!” He sits up straighter, putting a fist in an upwards palm in exaggerated remembrance. “You have to be a woman to agree to this deal. I will transform you before we begin if you agree. Call it a gift! Or the entry fee. Whichever you prefer.”
He leaned forwards again. “So? -
- Do You Agree?”
