Days of the Dead

The fall of man has happened as many have believed it would. The government had lied to the people once to many. Truth was finally getting a glimpse of light as the world fell into darkness. You woke one morning to what sounded like a low flying jet breaking the sound wall just above your house. This hardly ever happened for one the nearest military base that had planes was over 100 miles away, also the fact that you lived in a large town made it so that the complaints would keep it out of the local flight paths for anything at that height.

Yawning you rise from your sleep and start to dress and get ready for your walk to high school. Just as you started along the side walk for the twenty minute walk to your high school you head another loud bang high above your head. As you look up you see a large ball of fire high above the town then mysterously it started to rain. The rain felt hot and it was very odd considering it had nearly an off blue color and that there was not one cloud in the sky..

Suddenly you felt a burning sensation as the rain seemed to soak into your skin not just your clothes. As you continued to walk you hear a low rumbling sound which at first you think might be a small trember for an earthquake only to realize as you reached the crest of the hill it was a large convoy roaring into your town.

The convoy seemed to be a mixture of eighteen wheelers, military hummers, and mobile medical centers. Silently they split blocking off all the exits and enterances of the town. Personal filled out of the many covered trucks that followed the convey.

This peopel were dressed in black clothing from head to toe that seemed to have an unnatural shine to it. Chemical gas masked covered their heads the lenses tinted dark with a red glow to the edges. They all carried weaponry, everything from simple side arms, to assualt shot guns, rifles and even a few rail guns.
