Dad's Dates

Rex knew something was wrong. He'd been losing time. He'd been making purchases he had no memory of.

But he was used to that. That had started shortly after his son hit puberty, many years ago. He could barely remember what it was like to remember a full day at this point.

But the things Todd had made him do in the past had always made sense. Working like a madman to provide the young man the lifestyle he felt he deserved. Rex had really let himself go physically as he climbed the corporate ladder.

But then suddenly Rex found a shift in the unremembered purchases on his credit cards. Among the video games and porn subscriptions was a gym membership, a personal trainer, fancy hygene products. Rex was happy that his reclusive son might finally be getting some healthier habits. That he might start to leave the house. That he might someday let Rex go free.

But then Rex started noticing the changes in his own body. We was the one working out. He was the one dressing better. Apparently Todd had decided his father needed to get back out there. He was going to start dating.

He wondered if Todd would let him remember any of it...
