DEPOWERED!

Heroes are many things.

Heroes are strong.

Heroes are skilled.

Heroes are smart.

Heroes are kind.

Heroes are respected.

Heroes are heroic.

These things are generally understood and respected but what if?

What if a hero lost these things?

What is a hero without their qualities?

This is what we’re to find out. This is a place for stories where heroes find themselves missing a part of themselves. It could be their superpowers or maybe their fighting skills, perhaps even their intelligence or aspects of their personality. Possibly they lose a special item.

Alright enough with the pretentious build up, let's get to the meat of this.

It's pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, an anthology story for stories about heroes losing all that power and agency they usually have in droves.

Now there are a few rules for this, besides the general website rules that always apply.

First is how the stories are categorized: You pick the character here on the front page and there you can read or add the stories.

Second is on what characters are allowed: Now the base idea is very centered on the idea of superheroes but generally any character with powers or special qualities are allowed. I also want to stress the fact that the character doesn't have to lose powers as much as they can lose just some special aspect of themselves.

And also can add both male and female characters, no reason to limit the fun to be had. Also villains are allowed too.

And the third and final rule is this: if you're adding a chapter, I would generally prefer third person and decent sized chapters.

So with that all established, time for some heroes to be DEPOWERED!
