Command Bands is a free to write story following a very simple premise.
Everyone in the world is born with a metal bracelet around their wrist, which can come in one of seven colours. These bracelets are known as the Command Bands and they have a hierarchy based on the colour. Gold is the highest, followed by silver, then red, blue, green, grey and finally black.
Nobody knows where these bands came from or what decides the colour, but what people do know is that your band colour is the most important thing in the world. For if someone else's band is a higher colour then yours, you are unable to refuse any command they give you.
A person's band colour has no connection to their parent's band colour. To black bands could give birth to a gold band or a gold and silver band could give birth to a black band and then a blue band. It appears random. But the higher your band's colour, the more control you have over your life.
Almost any command you give a person with a lower band colour will be carried out, with a few exceptions. Any command that may cause permanent bodily harm to the person commanded or someone else, can be refused. But other then that, if someone's band is a lower colour then your they're practically your ****.
If someone is given two commands at the same time, the obedience will depend on the person's band. For example, if a blue band was ordered to turn left by a silver band and right by a gold band, the blue band will go right. But if someone is given two orders by people with the same coloured band, they will be able to chose which command to follow.
Certain commands can also be overwritten by someone with a higher colour then the one who originally made the command, but not by someone lower. For example, if a grey band is ordered to stripe naked for and stay naked by a silver band, someone with a red, blue or green band couldn't command then to put on clothes, but a gold band could.
Those are the rules of the Command Bands. The question is, what stories can come from these strange objects.
Do they exist in the real world, with normal people of celebrities living their lives with these bands. Or do they exist in a fictional world of books, movies, TV, games and comics, where the characters must face the challenges of their world whilst living with these bands.
