Come Out of the Darkness

It was a chilly november night. My sister and I were bored, and we had decided to go for a walk in the forest which was in my back yard. As we wandered deeper and deeper into the woods, it got darker and darker. The moon was full, but the trees were blocking it out.

"Maybe we should go back," my sister Dana said. By that time there was almost no light. We turned around on the path and started heading home.

"I think I hear some footsteps behind us," Dana said.

"You're crazy," I said, not believing her, but I still looked behind us. I didn't see anything. We kept walking, and we both kept looking behind us periodically.

Suddenly we heard a crash from somewhere behind us, and both of us turned our heads quickly. We didn't see anything at first, but a few seconds later there was a huge flash of light behind some trees.
