Becoming Prom Queen
The story of a girl with a goal
Chapter 1 by Woppa
Hi! My name is Alice!
It's really interesting how life has different plans for you than what you first intended!
You see, I'm 18 years old, I had just started my senior year at high school, and was hopeful for a bright future, when I received heavy news of a huge requirement for my college applications.
Dear Students,
Your applications to the different colleges are rolling in through our offices on the daily, and while most of you have maintained a high GPA and made sure to add information relevant to your families' history and their ties with the higher echelons of the government, we find it important to note that you need much more to be admitted to the top universities. Joining a sports program, _volunteering abroad, _or even becoming _Prom King or Queen, _are some of the ways your applications can improve and grow.
You will need to be more, do more, in order to obtain the future you want.
Best,
The SA Office
There it was, the news that I had feared. While I had a lot of positive attributes to myself and was smart beyond my years, I didn't do more than go to school, study, and then go back home. I could've done more, and now it's come to bite me in the ass.
One thing just jumped at me in this letter addressed to all the students by the SA Office: _Prom Queen. _Did I have what it takes to do that? It was my dream once, watching shows and reading stories, to be a princess in some castle and live a life of regality. Why settle for that, why not become the Queen?
