"Make sure all the documents are backed up on drives," Aurelie's boss told her as he passed by her desk.
"Of course M'sieur," the petite redhead answered with a nod. She glanced after him as he went into his office, still wondering at his change in attitude to her.
A month ago he had made a very blunt sexual proposal to her, telling her that she could earn a raise by providing him with blowjobs on demand. She had scornfully rejected him and stormed out of his office, fully prepared to quit.
To her surprise he had followed her, apologised, and given her a raise anyway. She had assumed it was to keep her from talking about his overt sexual harassment, but she needed the money and after extracting a promise that there would be no further indecent proposals, she agreed to stay.
Since that time he had been very professional with her, almost to the point of coldness, but in the last three days his attitude had changed. He had become warm, almost friendly, and solicitous of her.
And most interestingly, he had told her that she would be accompanying him on a business trip to Canada to look into some investment possibilities. At first she had been suspicious that it was a trick to seduce her while they were overseas, but he had assured her of his honourable intentions, and shown her the hotel reservations that were not only in separate rooms, but on separate floors.
The opportunity to spend a week in Vancouver, all expenses paid while she did whatever support work he needed for his business was too tempting to pass up, and with only a few lingering doubts, she agreed.
The flight would leave the following morning, and she was making sure that all the documents he would need were on both of their laptops and backed up.
All she had left to do after that was go home and pack.
Aurelie was 28, and regarded herself, with some justification, as a sophisticated woman. She smiled to herself as she tossed her shoulder length red hair, thinking that her rebellion against his attempted seduction had truly paid off.
