Art not porn

I love art, in all its forms. That's the first reason I love the Gallery. The artists here have a safe space to create, to express what's within. Art does not have borders or limits, but there are some limits to keep the doors open. And ... I'm late. they already started.

- " The point of art is to encourage people to see things in a different way. The point of pornography is to sexually arouse. This picture is art, pointing out the beauty in a body. "

This is normal, some people can't just go to admire art. They need to give their opinion on the theme. Some are professional critics, some are professional buyers, some are artists, and me ... that have no idea what at first was clueless about they were saying and just by listening to them I learned more than all the books I read until now.

That's why second reason to come here, to listen those who know. I don't know anyone here, I am not dressed like them and I suspect that I am the only one that eats the little snacks they have on the table. Maybe they are so absorbed in their own arguments that they don't feel hungry, maybe they don't like this type of catering

This is my third reason to come here, it's a waste to spoil these snacks.

- " Thus, the picture of a fully naked body above is art but the picture of people with a string thong below is porn, thus proving that it’s not a matter of what or how much flesh is shown, it’s all down to context and what the intention of the creator was. Did the creator of the work intend you to use your brain or your hormones ? "

And last but not least ... my fourth reason. I am here. Looking at the poster no one would say that's me, but the project needed a face to present, and all the others got cold feet at the last minute. No idea why, I'm not a woman, I don't want to be a woman. this was just to help. For art.

And it was super fun. She helped me and made all, from shaving my armpits to the make-up. It felt like I was in a Carnival party ... and it was for art. Even the lipstick had a flavour. She was so amazing that I felt that it wasn't me that was posing.

So many art projects. And so many artists. I need to listen to them all.
