Cheating is a slippery slope

Chapter 1 by lwine lwine

(First time writing so just bare with me but I hope I do A good job for you all. Please let me know in the comments any suggestions or ideas you may have. If at some point you come across a picture that is owned by you and you would like it taken down just let me know and I'll take it down. Otherwise enjoy!)

You are awaken from your concious slumber from a knock on your office door.

"Come in!" You invite, trying to sound like you weren't just falling asleep.

Your boss Daniel opens the door and walks in with a tired look to match yours. You've all been busy in the office for the last two weeks. He lets out a brief sigh, "We are gonna have to work late again tonight Kent."

You were afraid he would say that, but this new job is the one you were looking for since you graduated, an engineering firm, and it pays great.

"Yeah absolutely, i figured as much anyways." You chuckle, half joking.

"Awesome, just draft up these parts and then you're good to go, set them on my desk when you are done." Daniel begins to walk out of the door and turns around to add, "Been doing great here Kent, keep it up and who knows, maybe a raise in the future." Then proceeds out the door closing it behind him.

The sound of the door closing was echoed in the sound of your forehead hitting your desk. Staying late again? You've got to be joking, although that raise would be nice especially if it came with more vacation days. Glancing over the documents in front of you your eyes drift to a picture frame on the desk of your wife Lena.

Lena was a lovely woman, you've known each other since senior year of high school and started dating in sophomore year of college. A smaller more curvy figure standing about 5'4" with long dirty blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. She is always dressed up for any occasion, makeup, hair, clothes, the whole nine yards. The picture is her before your wedding. She looked gorgeous that day in her gown. You've been feeling bad lately, as all these nights at the office have led to you not being home as frequently, and you know shes not happy about it. She understands its part of the job, but she misses the company. Speaking of, you should probably call her and tell her you'll be home late right?
