Action at a Distance

It's only been one hour since the nice lady dropped off the package. She told you that you had helped her when no one else would, but at the cost of the memories of who, and what, you used to be. She said that the gift was a small token of her gratitude, that she knew it wouldn't be nearly enough to repay you for what you did, but it took her this long to find you again and she just had to see that you were alright. With a smile, she told you that she knew you would love the gift she'd brought, you fucking pervert you.

And with that, she had been off. You don't quite remember what she looked like... Did she have horns? A tail? Did one of her eyes rotate and contract like the lens of a camera? No, you must be imagining things. You know you trusted her, like she was an old friend. You're sure she wasn't anyone bad.

You've opened the package and removed its contents. In a foam indentation lay a black sphere, roughly the size of your fist. It was warm to the touch, slightly above room temperature. The texture was both plastic and organic, like high quality fake skin draped over real, taut flesh. It was smooth to the touch and oddly appealing. You couldn't help but just squeeze it for a while.

Underneath the foam you found a manual. On the front was printed "Quantum Entanglement Body Pillow". You opened it to the front page and read.

"The Quantum Entanglement Body Pillow (QEBP) allows the registered user to create an Entanglement with any sentient being (local qualifiers apply), and thereafter utilize said Entanglement to partially co-instantiate the Entangled sentient. Simply put the QEBP in direct physical contact with the sentient, and the QEBP will add them to its roster, which the registered user can access using any standard mind link. The registered user may also share the Entangled's visual locality through the same mind link."

This should be gibberish to you, but for some reason it seemed entirely understandable. The weird fleshy ball can link itself to people by touching them. Once linked, you can use the ball to create a local version of parts of their body, which will for all intents and purposes be those body parts in two places at the same time. Whatever you do to the "copy" will also happen to the "original" since on a quantum level they are really the same thing.

In the margins of the manual was a handwritten message.

"Knowing you, I sprung for the Deluxe edition that has a built-in Hygiene Filter, and some other surprise features I think you'll like. Just have fun and don't worry about a mess ;) xoxo"

You've spent the last hour trying to get a feel for the thing, quite literally. The mind link was the hardest part, but by focusing intently on the QEBP you can feel a connection, a small reciprocal nudge that tells you it's listening. You ask it to show you the available links, and your vision is suddenly filled with an image of you sitting on your bed, holding the ball. Of course, it makes sense that it would have linked you when you picked it up. You will the image to move, and you can see it panning like a camera, always focused on you. You will it, and the image shrinks to a floating video in the corner of your vision. This is really neat.

You're a bit curios about the main feature though. Looking around to make sure no one is looking at the window and that your door is properly locked, you will the QEBP to manifest your junk. It moves in your hands, rippling slightly as it expands and inverts, a perfect copy of your junk erupting from its surface.
