Depending on who you ask, there are a number of advantages and disadvantages to working the late shift.
The most obvious disadvantage was the lack of sleep. In the plus column, it was usually a lot easier to find parking.
Another negative: Harder to find food.
But the biggest plus, for Vornell, was how he had the whole world all to himself.
As he pulled up to the red light, he looked out of the windows of his hatchback, at the empty streets around him, and smiled.
It was like a movie set, before the first take.
Little did he know that he - and the world - were about to experience something beyond even Hollywood's wildest dreams.
...Maybe not the Valley.
