A Surprise For Everyone

My name is Dan. I was working my way through college. I’d been through all sorts of crappy jobs, just to try to make ends meet. My latest crappy job was walking dogs for people on vacation. I’d just gotten a call from one client of mine who was away for the last week on a business trip, and was scheduled to return that night. It seemed that his boss asked him to stay another few days, and he needed me to walk his dog until then. Since he was supposed to be returning that day, I hadn’t been over to walk his dog. When he said he wasn’t coming back for a few more days, I decided to head over to his house to take the dog out.

This guy had one hell of a house. He used to work for some dot com, and made a killing in the stock market. Apparently, he quit that job and cashed out just before the bubble burst, so this guy had a ton of money. I'd heard that he was pretty loose with the cash- big presents for his girlfriends, big tips in the restaurants. I figured that if I could go out of my way for him, maybe he'd throw some change my way.

I got to the house and went to unlock the door with the key he gave me. I put the key in the lock, but before I could turn the key, I noticed that the door was already unlocked. That’s strange, I thought. I was pretty sure that when I was here the day before I had remembered to lock the door.

I opened the door, expecting the door to come bounding and barking at me, but the dog was nowhere to be found. I stepped in the door, and noticed a note laying on the table next to the door. It read:

Brian,

I know we haven’t seen each other in two months, and we parted on not the best of terms, but I’ve come to realize that I still love you. I want you back. The one thing we always had that worked was our sex life. I figured that if we could get that back, maybe we could make it work between us again. So, when I heard that you were going to be back from your trip today, I decided to give you a present - Me! Remember how you always wanted to tie me up, but I would never let you. Well, come on in to your bedroom. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
