A Changing Relationship

You have lived an average life and today was supposed to not be any different.

At least that was what you thought until you heard a voice in your head. One that told you to pick a person. This was a voice you decided to ignore.

It worked for a while until you got a headache that you tried to ignore as well, but it got stronger and stronger. It reached a point where you could barely think and in the end, you picked the first person you saw. The headache disappeared so fast that you almost thought you imagined it and when there was nothing else that came up, you came to the conclusion that you must have had too little sleep. It was the only thing that could explain it and you scheduled a visit to the doctor for later.

It was a few days later when you received a notice from your phone that the download of a new has finished which made you curious as you hadn't downloaded anything.

The new app was called LoveMeter and you instantly tried to delete it as you definitely hadn't downloaded an app like that, but it proved impossible to delete. In your many attempts to delete it, you managed to accidentally activate the app and you were surprised enough by what you saw that you didn't exit out of the app.

You saw the picture of the person that you remembered was the one you chose when that unknown voice asked you to. There was more below the picture, but you were more fascinated by what was at the bottom.

A number that you didn't understand what was for with some kind of progress bar that ended at a goal that had a much higher number.

You closed the app at that point and decided that you would talk to the person tomorrow, maybe they would know what this was.
