This shouldn't be a problem as Christian is testing the shrink ray at in his room. He thinks he's home alone, not realizing Juila just entered the house. The characters of the family include: Christian Hanson - age 21, a senior in college studying physics. He's home for the summer and is working on an invention he plans to be a shrink ray.
