The Hot Adventures of Petra Parker

The Hot Adventures of Petra Parker

Spider-woman

Chapter 1 by Bib55 Bib55

Morning sunlight spilled between the towers of New York City, turning glass windows into sheets of gold as Petra Parker swung high above the traffic. Her web snapped taut, momentum lifting her in a smooth arc that made her stomach flip — not from fear, but from pure, breathless joy.

Mornings were her favorite. Fewer helicopters. Fewer gunshots. Just the hum of the waking city and the rush of wind against her suit.

—Okay, Petra, new day, no concussions, no super-villains, maybe even breakfast? —she quipped to herself.

She released the line at the peak and free-fell, arms spread wide. For a heartbeat, she was weightless, suspended between sky and street. Then — thwip — another web caught a distant rooftop antenna, slinging her forward again.

Below, delivery trucks honked, pedestrians hurried with coffee cups, and steam curled from subway grates like the city itself was exhaling.

Normal life. The one she kept missing.

Her phone buzzed faintly inside her suit. Probably a class reminder. Or a bill. Or both.

—Later, responsibility. The problems stuff first.

She angled toward Midtown, spotting a tall office building with a wide, empty rooftop — perfect landing zone. Petra released her web, flipped once in the air, and dropped fast.

She hit the roof in a low crouch, one hand against the concrete.

But she wasn’t alone.

A pair of shoes stood inches from her fingers.

Petra slowly lifted her head, lenses widening as her gaze traveled upward to the figure waiting there. Please log in to view the image
