Genie's Torment

Alexis was not a very nice person. Thriving on **** and humiliation, she frequently bullied the other kids at her school, and as a senior student on the cheer team, she had the social capital to isolate someone from the entire school.

She was a taller girl, with long black hair that fell beneath her shoulders. She had naturally pink lips, without the need for lipstick, and they stood out prominently against her pale skin.

Her father was the CEO of a large tech company, meaning that she was spoiled rotten and had never worked a job in her life. She got good grades, but she didn't need to work to earn them. Daddy's money took care of that for her.

One particular day, she woke up early and got ready for school. Her maid was curtsying by the door.

"Will you be back quickly after school, my Lady? I would like you to return by 5:00, if at all possible."

"You don't get to talk to me," Alexis said without breaking stride.

"One might take offense to that, my Lady. I am merely trying to plan your meals."

Alexis scoffed as she got in a chauffeured car and was driven to school. Dressed in exorbitantly expensive clothing, she spent the day like usual, strutting the halls of Bellmont High, glaring down her nose at girls she didn't like.

After school had completed, she sat in her friend's car, and decided what to do with her friends from the cheer team.

"Let's go watch the basketball game!" Samantha shouted. She had a very overt crush on the captain of the team, something the cheer team had heard about a lot. The fact that he was in a relationship didn't bother her in the slightest.

"It's soooo hot out though! I just want to go to the beeeeach..." moaned Maria. "...or maybe the pool? It would be funny to watch all the guys staring at us in our swim suits."

"Did you hear what that bitch Libby called me?" Kyleigh asked. "She said I was a cunt. To the fucking ENTIRE basketball team. She thinks she has the fucking right just because she's captain of the team. I'm going to ruin her fucking life. We need to get her, NOW."

"Alright, let's roll up on this bitch." Alexis immideately responded. Picking on other people was what they ended up doing most of the time anyways. "We need dirt on her before we can kick her to the curb. Does anyone know where she is right now?"

"I think she's working at her dad's pawn shop or something. It's just a couple blocks away," Maria responded, tapping on her phone to bring it up on her GPS before starting the car.

They drove the short distance over to the pawn shop, bickering about what they would end up doing to the girl before parking outside the store. They had rolled their windows down because of the heat, and as a result they heard someone speaking as they left the store:

"Libby, I'm heading over to an auction. Can I trust you to run the store for a few hours?"

"Yeah, I got it!" Came a faint voice from inside the shop.

"Okay, call me if you need anything! And be careful with that new stuff I brought in yesterday, I haven't had a chance to get it appraised yet, but I think I might have gotten a couple big pieces!" With that, the man got in his car and drove off, not noticing the giggling girls in the car next to him.

The posse got out of the car and strode into the shop, whispering to each other as they went.

"Well, I guess we know what to do, girls," Alexis said smugly. "Fan out and find that box."

As they opened the door, a bell rang out.

"Welco... what the hell are you doing here?" Libby asked, looking up from her phone. As Alexis walked towards her, the other girls spread out, searching through the shop.

"I heard you were calling my girl names, you fucking bitch," Alexis said as she strode towards the girl menacingly. Libby backed up a step and held up her hands.

"I didn't -"

Alexis intterupted the girl by slapping her hard enough to knock her over, causing her to pull down a shelf full of clocks.

"You don't get to fucking speak to me. That's a privilege, and you don't fucking get it."

Samantha walked up to the two, holding a box out to Alexis and bowing. "For you, my queen," she spoke.

Alexis grinned widely as she took the box labelled "TO BE APPRAISED". Inside was a full set of extremely dusty items. Libby rubbed her cheek as she tried to stand back up. "Wait, I-"

Alexis grabbed an item at random and threw it onto the ground. It was an old ceramic plate, based on the way it shattered into a hundred pieces. Libby gasped, grabbing at the pieces as if to put them back together again before she was kicked in the chest by Alexis.

"What did I say about talking, you fucking pig?" Alexis grabbed another item and tossed it up and down. It was an old mug this time.

"Please, I-"

Alexis threw the mug at the girl. It split into two pieces on impact, falling to the ground and leaving a bruise on her arm where it had hit her. Libby cried out but then remained silent.

"So slow to learn. No wonder you're growing up to be a hobo dumpster diver just like your father, Alexis said. Her cronies, now gathered aroung her, giggled. Tears were streaming down Libby's face now, as she stared at her bullies and didn't say anything for fear of reprecussions.

"There we go. That wasn't so hard, was it? Now we just need to talk about what we're going to make you do to earn the rest of this box back." Libby flinched, but didn't move where she was laying. "First of all, why don't you give us your phone. Maybe we can find some fun stuff if we look through it."

Libby slowly pulled her phone out and handed it to Maria as the girl walked closer to her.

"Very good! Even dumb broads like you might learn something once in a while after all! Maybe I should give one of these back to you..." Alexis drawled, slowly running her finger over everything in the box. Her finger traced over the items remaining, more plates, another cup, a candlestick, and finally, a lamp...

Suddenly, purple smoke started coming out of the box. Alexis screamed and dropped the box in fear as it filled the room, and then suddenly, the smoke cleared, and a girl was sitting there, looking slightly translucent.
