the beginning

The GO Park complex in the Safari Zone had been going through rough times. Its popularity was starting to dwindle, as adult trainers realized that they couldn't transfer Pokemon that originated from other regions to Kanto. However, the Fuchsia Gym Leader, Janine, suggested creating a special area in the Safari Zone, hidden from public view, specifically for the pleasure of adult trainers. After meeting with scientists and investing in a large block of land, the Pokegirl Play Yard was completed.

To promote its opening, several contests ran for a few months, with several prizes, including costumes and passes to the Pokegirl Play Yard. Many adult trainers would enter, hoping that they would receive an experience like none other. Those who won the contests highly recommended it to their friends, and more trainers would flock to the Safari Zone every week.

Our story begins one fine, breezy evening, during the last month of the contests. Pokemon Master Ash Ketchum had finished training and bonding with his Pikachu and Lucario for the day. His black hair blew in the breeze, as he and his Pokemon were watching the sunset. Ash had enjoyed these fine sunsets for several years, talking to his Pokemon about whatever was going on in his mind at the time. And every time, Pikachu and Lucario would listen.

Most of the time, Ash would talk about how excited he was for his next Pokemon battle, or how he wondered what any of his former traveling companions were doing now. But this evening, the Pokemon trainer had something else in mind.

"You know about that new area in the Safari Zone?" he asked Pikachu.

"Pika." Pikachu responded affirmatively.

"Well, I never got to tell you this," Ash continued, "but I've entered one of their contests last week. I'm not sure if I would actually win, but hey, it's worth a shot!"

"Pika Pikachu!" smiled his long-time friend. Lucario looked over at Ash, rolled his eyes, and continued watching the sunset. He really didn't care about his trainer's fantasies that much... maybe a little bit. After all, Ash had only turned 18 a few months ago, so he was certain to have these kinds of thoughts.

The trio sat in silence for a few moments before a Delibird arrived.

"Deli, Delibird!" chirped the bird Pokemon, before handing Ash a letter.

"Huh? I wonder what this could be?" Ash wondered, as the Delibird flew away. He carefully opened up the envelope. The contents made his eyes lighten up.

"Dear Mr. Ketchum,

We at the Safari Zone are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as one of two winners of our final contest!

Enclosed is a free one-day pass to the Pokegirl Play Yard, which you can redeem at any time. Your costume will be provided by our staff once you've arrived, as decided by your favorite Pokemon, mentioned on the survey.

At the end of your stay at the Pokegirl Play Yard, you will be allowed to keep your costume. However, you will also be allowed to purchase a permanent pass, so that the fun won't have to end.

Ash stood outside the GO Park complex. He had been excited for this moment, as his fantasies were going to come true. As he held the pass in his hand, a slight blush began to form on his face. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Ash stepped forward and entered the complex.

"Welcome to the GO Park complex!" said the receptionist, "What would you like to do?"

"I just wanted to experience the Pokegirl Play Yard," said Ash, pulling out his pass, "I've been waiting to do so for a while."

The receptionist examined the pass for a brief moment, which featured a conformation code and Ash's name. After scanning the pass, he whistled, and a Gardevoir walked in through the back door.

"Voir Gardevoir?"

"Alessia," said the receptionist, handing the Gardevoir Ash's Pokeballs, "take Mr. Ketchum's Pokemon to the normal Play Yard."

Alessia nodded, and motioned for Pikachu and Lucario to follow her into the Play Yard. Pikachu called out as if to say "See you later!" while Lucario just nodded. Ash waved goodbye as his Pokemon left into the Play Yard. The receptionist reached below the desk and pulled out a black bag and a padlock.

"The locker room," he said, "is down the hall and to the left. Have fun!"

"Thank you!" called Ash, who was already halfway down the hall.

"Lucky," muttered the receptionist under his breath, "I'd give a hundred million Pokedollars to be a Pokegirl. Maybe one day..."

Ash stepped into the locker room, and walked over towards one of several lockers. He already figured that he was going to have to strip before entering the Play Yard, so that's just what he did. He placed his clothes and his cap into the locker before applying the padlock, so that no dirtbag would steal the clothes. Then the Pokemon trainer went to take a quick shower.
