I sat at the back of the wagon keeping an eye for anyone. getting tired of the silence of the wagon i decided to ask about something I had been wondering about. "Hey Paul, how did a nice guy like you start working there anyway," I asked.

"Oh well my uncle worked there," he said. "He was convinced working there would man me up and would drag me along whenever he would play with the girls." he said with disgust. "The only good thing about that is that it allowed me to meet violet. I took one look at her eyes and immediately fell in love. I protected her from my uncle. the worst part was that he was happy that i was finally showing the animals their place."

What about your parents did they know what he your uncle did for a living," I asked him. i then saw the sad look in his eyes and felt bad for asking the question.

"They were both killed by a bandit attack four years ago. he was the only family I had left so i went to him after their passing. I do not know if they knew but i like to think they had no clue," he said.

"I see sorry if i brought up bad memories," I said to him bowing my head.

"That is okay," he said. "It was years ago, and I am mostly over it."

"What about you," asked Violet. "You are so strong how did they ever catch you?"

"I was on a mission to investigate missing people. i had a good lead and choose to investigate it. I had come across a group carrying an **** woman and moved to stop them," I told them. I let out a soft growl before continuing. "One of them had a mosquito's summons. as I was about to attack one of them bit me and injected a poison that knocked me out. from that point I was never left without that collar on or bound."

"From what we saw that was for their own safety," joked Violet.

"Yep," I said with a laugh. "One of my clones even managed to kill the big boss."

"Really how," asked Paul.

"It was disguised as someone else it had killed. once his back was turned it stabbed him right in the heart," I said with a dark smirk. "Well since we shared what about you Violet. How did you get to be part of the 'live stalk,'" I asked.

"I was betrayed by my sister," she said. "My sister and me were the only children of the head of a large company. as the oldest I was to take over when out father stepped down. unfortunately, he had died in an accident at work. I remember my sister offering me a drink after the funeral and feeling tired. when I wake up, I was tied up and in a box on the way to the auction house. I spent the first few days wondering why. why would she do that? it could not have been money our father wanted us both to be happy and I would have done right by her." at this point she had tears in her eyes. since Paul was controlling the wagon, I walked up to her and gave her a hug.

"It is going to be okay," i told her. she just spent about ten minutes crying into my shoulder.

"Thank you," she said rubbing her eyes.

"Do you plan on going after her for answers," I asked her.

"No," she said. "If an opportunity ever appears then I might."

"Hey, I can see town," said Paul.

"Good," I said. "Well, I guess we will split off from here."

"It is late why don't you spend the night with us. that way you can leave with fresh daylight," Violet said.

I think about it for a moment before nodding my head. "that does better than setting out as the sun sets," I said.
