Waiting here would be a waste of time, he clearly isn't coming. You head inside the cave without him, trying to hurry around to make up for the 30 minutes wasted waiting for him. Through tight squeezes of rock and rubble to the massive open tunnels the place is quite boring. You find yourself going through tight tunnels that you can just about squeeze through made of cold solid rock such as limestone dolomite or other natural common stones. The big open areas aren't that big really but its big enough that if you brought your friend that both of you would be able to lay down and sleep here, though like the tiny squeezes the floor is no warmer.

There wasn't much things to really grab and store, the most "precious" gem you find is a bit of agate probably worth about 12.95 and you're actually quite happy about it since it's pretty shiny despite being found in a cave, abandoned. On the way out you decide to check around the corner that you haven't been down yet, since it is right next to the entrance and it doesn't look like it branches off at all anyways. You find some type of rock, its blue and looks rusty, it's not smooth and has a rough surface but the inside is probably beautiful. As you pick it up you notice that it moved and in fact the thing is breathing. Clearly mistaken for a rock, the thing in your hand was actually a cat with cloudy fur covered in a bunch of dust, debris and dross. You store it in the bag you had with you with the zipper open so it can breathe, the thing looks to injured to move anyways.

You head straight home through the now dark forest with nothing to keep you company, no birds chirping, no frogs leaping past, no rabbits jolting behind you. Just you and what could soon be a dead cat if not taken care of.

Just in time, you made it home and first you decide to feed it some reheated scraps and leftovers of meat from the food you had ate the previous night. You had it left in the microwave, since you had nothing left in the fridge nor freezer, not even in the cabinets. Lucky for you, today was pay day so you will have enough money to be able to pay for food the next day once the shop opens up, you just got to add cat food to the list of groceries now.

The cat, while struggling manages to eat what little food you gave it, once it's done you decide to wash it and let it sleep. You head off to bed let your new buddy have a rest.

You wake up once it's morning.
