Go shopping

You take any clothes off that you had on, get a shower, dried, then dressed. Taking a step outside your house, you greet the day. With a lot of money now in your pocket, you decide, after paying $400 for bills, rent and whatever else needed being done, to go shopping. You buy your needed groceries and nourishment. You remember the pet at home and choose to pick up a few items for them as well. Items including a bed, a bowl, a small blanket, a few tins and cans of food, a small comb and a toy to play with them, if they decide to play at all that is.

You pay and it comes to $301.8 with your massive shopping run included. You hurry home to drop everything off, you trust your cat to stay in the house alone for a day while you go to work, unfortunately you weren't able to put anything away as you were in a hurry.

You head off to work and it was basically another nightmare. More paperwork, only few breaks with a maximum of 30 minutes which was decent, but the only 30 minute break was for lunch. The rest of them were only 15 minute breaks then right back to work, it wouldn't be so much of a problem if it weren't for the fact that to even get to the outside it takes 11 minutes there and back, in total that means you only get 4 minutes outside.

You shake it off and sit for work, you decide to just get on with it. Filling out papers and other boring stuff on your computer, most of the stuff on here that would help you with work are banned too, not just the games. The game part is obvious though, it's a work computer, not a gaming PC.

While working you continuously glance back at the clock then at the pile of work that seems to be shrinking quite fast. Faster than you had expected it to. You smile a bit, today was actually going quite good, but of course, just as your pile starts going low... someone walks over with a huge pile of paper, right over to your desk. You think to yourself in a foul tone.

*If that bitch even puts a single paper on my desk I'm putting her head through this damn computer*

She smiles and waves to you, not putting anything on your desk but instead speaks.

"Hi, sorry to barge in, but Miss Alexander wanted to see you in her office... soon"

You nod and say that you would be there soon, but you question her about the stack of papers.

"Oh this? just some more work I have to do. It's my first load in a while seeing as most of my work was done digitally. Hey, you seem to be almost done with yours, good job."

You thank her for the compliment and head from your work station to your boss' office wondering why she called you. As you arrive she leans forward and gives a simple gesture of waving her hand toward the seat in front of you, signalling you to sit.

"Do you know why you're here?"

You unfortunately do not and reply with a no, you do not know why you are there.

"We just fired someone, kept stealing computer mice and keyboards for his kids PC. We were thinking, with his pay we give a few people who we know are struggling and that are doing great jobs a raise. I've been watching you, I've taken a real good interest in you. I want to give you this raise for being such a good person in this workspace, how's it sound? Deal or no deal?"

You pause to think for a moment before opening your mouth.

"That sounds wonderful. It's unfortunate to know about the stolen computer parts, but I personally do think it was a good idea to fire him otherwise you would be spending more money on him that could be used in replacing those parts. About the raise though, you said I taken your interest and so..."
