Ernest hesitates. "Are you sure?" he asks, sounding nervous.

Jessica rolls her eyes. "Yes, I'm sure, even if you like her being in love with you, I want my friend back," she insists. She worries slightly that pushing like this would be risky, but... on the whole Ernest seemed like a good enough person, and it seemed like the wish to make Tiff into his dream girl was probably accidental, based on how he phrased it? Surely she could get him to give it up, right?

"But, like... is she gone? I'll admit, I don't know how she was before the changes, but I wished to have my memories from this world, and it's not like she's any worse friends with you, right? She's just also dating me, and it's not like I'm that bad, right?" He sounds slightly ****.

Jessica sighs. "No, you're not that bad, but it's not fair for her to date you without knowing the truth. The fact that you are incredibly handsome and also a great catch–" Hearing what she's saying, the blonde freezes and brings her hands to her mouth.

"You trying to make a move on my man?" she hears Tiffany call out teasingly. "Because don't get me wrong, I'm fine with it, but I want to watch!"

"And she is different, see?" Jessica quickly hisses, before Tiff reaches them.

"I– okay, I'll tell her, and we can talk about it, okay?" Ernest says, not bothering to be quiet.

"Talk about what, babe?" Tiffany asks curiously. "You didn't already sleep with Jess did you?"

Ernest and Jessica both sputter out denials, but Tiffany just nods knowingly. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd be a bit upset you didn't tell me about it beforehand, but like I said, I don't have a problem with you actually doing it."

"Okay, never mind, you need to do the thing we were talking about," Jess insists, changing her mind upon realizing the differences between this Tiffany and the one she knew. Even if she can't get the words out, she knows what she means.

"It should be up to her, though," Ernest retorts, even as confusion clouds the girl in question's face.

"So... okay, not that, something else?" Tiffany asks, trying to understand what's going on. "Is this why you've been a bit off since the party last night, leaving early and all that?"

"I wish that Tiffany could see the ring and understood that Jess is a genie with magic powers!" Ernest blurts out, the pressure getting into his head. With that, though, Jessica feels a rush of pleasure once again.

"Ohh, fuck," she moans, her fingers inching towards her waistband before she remembers where she is. "I didn't mean right now, Master!"

"Sorry!" Ernest squawks out with embarrassment, averting his eyes.

Meanwhile, Tiffany is frozen, her mind trying to process everything that's happened. "So... I'm guessing that we didn't used to be dating before last night, from your perspective?" she starts by asking.

Ernest shakes his head. "No," he says. He knows it was the right thing to do, but he's not looking forward to getting dumped by his first ever girlfriend, or having to wish things back to how they were. "I just knew Jessica from history class, we did a project together, the same one we did in this timeline, and I got an invite to the party."

"How'd you get the ring, then? I mean, Jessica doesn't seem exactly happy about this," Tiffany notes, looking at her best friend, "But she's not as mad as I'd expect if you tricked her into it or something." Tiffany's face is still schooled in a carefully neutral expression.

At this, Jessica steps in. "Kevin was there when I found out about the ring and being a genie, and he made a grab for it, but Master ended up finding it and making wishes before I told him about it being mine– or, well, me being the genie who grants the wishes that he makes using it."

"And you were arguing about telling me about this whole thing?"

"Basically," Jessica shrugs. "I wanted him to wish all this back to normal at least, so he's no longer dating you and everything goes back to the way it was."

At that, Tiffany lets her fingers trace across Ernest's arm. "I... shouldn't that be up to me? After all, I'm the one who was most changed by this, and I feel pretty happy now."

"You were happy the way things used to be!" Jessica insists. "And now you're just... willing to be Master's sidepiece?" She flinches at the word. "That's not the Tiffany I know!"

"First, not Ernest's sidepiece. I'm his girlfriend, Jessica. And second, as far as I remember, I've been best friends with you the way reality is now, too. Right babe?" On the last words, she turns her head to Ernest, looking for confirmation.

"That is true," Ernest admits, preferring to sink into the chair instead of getting in between his girlfriend and his genie.

"But that's not fair to me, or the other Tiffany," Jessica reiterates. "Wouldn't the Tiffany I know prefer to not be dating Master?" Once again, she tenses at the word.

Tiffany looks thoughtful for a moment, and then she smiles. "Fine. Babe, can you please wish that I had all my memories and remembered the emotional feelings associated with those memories of the original timeline? In exactly those words, please."

Feeling like a man condemned to the gallows, Ernest nods. "Yeah, I guess. Jessica, does that sound good?"

Jessica nods. "Yeah, I'm braced and ready for it this time. And, listen, Ernest, it's nothing personal, it's just that this is Tiff we're talking about, she's my best friend, y'know?"

"I get it," Ernest agrees. "Now, uh. I wish that Tiffany had all her memories, and remembered the emotional feelings associated with those memories, from the original timeline."
