You were bored.

Ralsei stares at you, a little concerned, as you explain that you're not sure why you came to the library. "Well, that's fine. I always enjoy the quiet of the library, and I don't mind sharing that with you." Ralsei says. You and Ralsei spend a few moments enjoying the silence, before Ralsei speaks up again. "Say, how about I show you some of my favorite books?" Ralsei asks. Before you can reply, Ralsei is already moving through the shelves, picking out books and setting them on a nearby table. Once he has collected a sizable stack, he sits down and gestures for you to join him. As soon as you do so, Ralsei grabs the book at the top of the stack and opens it for you. "This is one of my favorite books. I've read it a lot." Ralsei says. The book in question turns out to be a recipe book, full of recipes that require the use of a cauldron. "Would you like to read it together?" Ralsei asks, looking hopeful.

Seeing as how you aren't doing anything right now, you agree. You spend a bit of time reading the book alongside Ralsei, listening as he tells you all about his favorite recipes. Ralsei looks like he is enjoying himself, and your time in the library seems to pass rather quickly. Eventually, Ralsei seems to notice how late it must be and brings the book to a close. "Well, I think we should head to bed now. This was enjoyable though, thank you for joining me. Good night, Vessel." With that, Ralsei waves goodbye and heads towards his room, walking with a bit of a spring in his step at what the future might bring. You yourself, meanwhile, head back to your own room. When you arrive, you crawl into bed, close your eyes, and surrender to the darkness until the morning.
