“So I want a decision.” You say, cutting through the silence, “If you want to stay, I will give this a serious attempt at a relationship. I won’t just walk you down the altar if you want to do this. I will spend time with you to see if we can build something with each other, I will not **** you to have my child. A child should be made with love. Never out of convenience. If you want to go, I will make sure that you never have to see me again if you don’t want.”

Adolpha immediately shoots to her feet, “I don’t care about any of what the elders think! I want this! I want to be with you!”

The girls look at her and you scowl at her, “I don’t extend the same courtesy to you. Of all the people chosen, you have the most disgusting and manipulative trait.”

She flinches but refused to back down, “You realize that if everyone else doesn’t want this, I will be the only viable option.”

“Then I will die without a child at all.” You reply, cold as a glacier, “I already talked with Accalia about it and she agreed. So long as it keeps me away from you? We can make that sacrifice. We are all but wed legally. You don’t deserve to be my wife. You don’t deserve to be my friend anymore either. You are less than a stranger. You are worth less than a common whore.”

The girls watch like this is a tennis match and Arcadia’s eyes are wide as she can feel Adolpha’s desperation and your fury.

A wave of calm washes over you and you blink and turned to Sumeria who has closed her eyes and pursed her lips.

What was she doing?

Was she… affecting you with her ability?

People can do that?

“What is up between the two of you?” Maia demands, “You have been kind to everyone but her, what did she do to you?”

Adolpha’s eyes widen as she tries to find the words to downplay what she did.

She deserves all the scorn.

You close your eyes, unable to pull up all of the hatred you normally can thanks to Sumeria, “She **** me using her trait. I was physically unable to stop her before she tried to violate me. It was only because I remember Accalia that I was able to push past it and run away before it went too far.”

The room is dead silent and Adolpha’s shoulder slump, “I couldn’t hold back… If you know our traits than you know it affects us! You think I was able to control myself when you were the only guy on my mind who I wanted?”

You scowl, mostly for show since Sumeria is still forcing you to stay calm, “I. Don’t. Care.”

She finally can’t bear to be in the room any longer and storms out of the house.

Sumeria lets go of you and you give her a look, “Didn’t know you could do that.”

Sumeria smiles wryly, “It’s helped a lot why my friends fought. They are naturally emotional people.”
