"Would you like something to drink?" you ask, recalling your manners as you head to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Cin leans casually against your dining room table, glancing down at the Dungeons and Dragons paraphernalia left over from last night's game.

"My friends like to hang out here, so I have a wide range of drinks," you explain. "I have raspberry and peach Snapple, cranberry juice, Arnold Palmer Iced Tea, Sam Adams Golden Pilsner, or Perrier Carbonated Water—those are Saul's favorites. David prefers simple Budweiser, Red Bull for Vivian, Diet Coke for Brian, and Voss Water for Sandra."

Peeking out from the kitchen, you wait for your guest’s choice.

"You're adorable," Cin says, her smile teasing, though she seems genuinely charmed. “I’ll take the Budweiser.”

You bring her the beer, still puzzling over her comment, but deciding not to dwell on it.

“So, what questions do you have for me or do we dive right into business?” the voluptuous attorney, taking a sip from the bottle, her eyes hint with curiosity and something else you can’t quite place.
