“So she said she’s not the leader” Gonzalez is looking a lot healthier. There are still monitors, still the beeps as her heart beat is painting with across a screen as a green line, but she’s only got a few canals in. Nothing attached to her lungs, even the cuts and bruises on her face look better.

“You’re sure, how can you be so sure?”

“Trust me, she’s not our bad guy”

Gonzalez still looks uncertain but she goes with it.

“So its the secretary, I always knew Carmen was an ass, just didn’t know how much”

“I know she’s young and all but I never worked out why the chief would fuck over his wife like that. His wife’s nice, and pretty too”

“Because, you see” Gonzalez says like she’s teaching a lesson. “Men are arseholes”

“Got it, that would be it” you nod, you smile and she smiles back.

“You’re looking well” you say as you get up to leave.
