XXXmas Party: [Unprofessional] They were quite late...

Leah had never been too great at being on time for work functions--a party was no different. AP Kenning was hanging around the entryway even as they rang the bell unnecessarily. She flung the door open, her cheeks red from what everyone knew was her favorite pastime—the bottle.

“Merry Christmas!” she said giving Leah an uncomfortably long hug.

“Merry Christmas!” Leah responded trying to escape her grip.

“Y'all come on in.” she said as she released Leah from her bear hug. “And this is...Jon...Jona...”

“Jonathan.” He said shaking her extended hand.

“Oh come on it's Christmas!” She hugged him less aggressively “So good to see you again. Now y'all make yourselves at home. Everyone is just milling about right now. Drinks and snacks are in the kitchen, got some music going all over., oh and we will have Dirty Santa soon. Bathrooms are on the main floor but there are some upstairs too. Just don't go into anywhere that the door is closed. Oh it's Sandy—Merry Christmas!” She turned suddenly as someone else opened the door and Leah and Jonathan gladly moved further into the house glad to be free of AP Kenning's over-the-top Christmas spirit.
