XXXmas Party: Introduce Jonathan (Suspicion: -10)

“Come on, I want to show you off.” Leah said taking Jonathan by the hand.

“Oh Lord...” Jonathan said, with a sigh but a face that beamed with secret pride. “Gotta make sure everyone knows who I am huh? Can't be letting you get too near the mistletoe alone.”

Leah moved about the main entrance and introduced him to everyone she could.

“Oh so nice to meet you.”

“Great to put a face to a name.”

“She says so many good things about you!”

“You never told me how handsome we was.”

“You are a lucky man.”

"Oh Miss Williams!” Leah cringed when she heard the voice of Principal Howard,. He wasn't supposed to be here. He almost never came to these functions and it was seen as bad form to invite the principal.

“Mr. Howard,” Leah said flatly as they stood in the busy living room.

“This must be your fiance? I think we may have met before actually.” Mr. Howard looked at Jonathan and extended an arm. “You are one lucky man...I am Keith.”

“Hey there, nice to meet you. I'm Jonathan.” Jonathan shook Mr. Howard's hand.

“Leah talks a lot about you.” Mr. Howard said with a wolfish grin. “She can't wait to get married, she has said you truly are the only for her.”

Leah shot him daggers.

“Thanks.” Jonathan said with a smile “I'm a lucky man.”

“Indeed!” Mr. Howard continued “You get to keep her all to yourself.”

“Ha ha...yeah.” Jonathan said a bit awkwardly.

“You know Leah is such a great asset to this school. She really is. Her ability to...touch those around her and bring....excitement to life here at the school. Its so great. She is certainly on her way to tenure.”

“It was good to see you Mr. Howard.” Leah said through grit teeth and nearly a snarl before pushing Jonathan onto other fellow teachers and staff like Amber.

“Oh hey Jonathan!” Amber said, recognizing his face and having met him before when he came to the school or other functions. “So good to see you again.”

Leah introduced Jonathan to others and it made him feel a sense of pride and closeness being introduced as Leah's fiance.

Leah was going to introduce him to someone else when she heard AP Kenning's loud voice.

“Okay okay! Lets gather in the living room for Dirty Santa. Woooooooohoooooooooooo!”

“Well I guess that's the sign to get started. Ha ha.” Jonathan smirked.

“I think you must be right.” Leah gave him a sideways smile. “I hope I get something good this year."
