Wish I may

"Okay, so... infinite wishes." Xander snapped his fingers. "What to wish, what to wish...."

"You could wish me free." Anya grumbled.

"Not happening." Xander immediately answered and shook his head. "Think back to when you were human and vulnerable, squishy and breakable, Ahn, would you give up free genie wishes?"

Anya pouted, "no."

"Right. Besides you'll like my first wish."

Anya raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

"I wish that every member of the Scoobs has and always had, you included Ahn, a perfectly legal, in no way violating aaaannnny laws, million dollar trust fund. Large enough to cover any expenses we might ever encounter." Xander wished and looked at Anya expectantly.

"Me included?" Anya bit her lower lip and with a heavy sigh she nodded her head. "Wish granted."

Xander grinned at her and pantomimed wiping away sweat. "Great. Takes a load off for all of us. Means Buffy wont have to worry about the mortgage anym-uuuhnnnn."

Anya sighed as she knew that sound. It was the sound his brain made when he realized something. "What?"

Xander held up a hand with one finger up to tell her to wait. He closed his eyes and waggled his head from side to side while he argued with himself.

It didnt take long before Xander blinked his eyes open and stared at Anya hard. With intensity he walked up to her and loomed over her, "I wish the Joyce Summers never had anything wrong with her brain. No cancer. No aneurism. I wish Joyce Summers was in perfect health every single day of her life."

Anya shook her head sadly, "Xander, I cant. I wish I could. But I cant do Resurrection."

"And I'm not wishing for it. I'm changing history. I am altering Joyce's medical history. Well within the rules you set." Xander grinned, and loomed over her, craning his head in close, "I am exploiting the language of the rules. Just like you do, Ahn, alllll the time. Only this time we are saving a life instead of taking it."

Anya huffed, "I'm only doing this because I miss Joyce too. Wish granted."
