Victoria Tries To Befriend Zack

Zack and Victoria made their way into their bedroom and while Zack was still a mess of nerves, Victoria didn't seem to have a care in the world, "This place is amazing, don't you think, Zack?"

Zack was tongue tied for a few seconds, it wasn't often that his crush spike to him, and being alone in a bedroom with her was forcing his mind to only churn out one kind of thought. Forcing his way through it, Zack cleared his throat, "Really amazing," He agreed.

A soft hum came from Victoria as the blonde unzipped her bag and started to fill up her dresser drawers with clothes, "I'll be honest, I'm sort of releaved to be bunking with you,"

"You are?" Zack's heart skipped a beat,

"Yeah, I'd be all thumbs right now if I was with Heather's cousin, I mean, I'm not that kind of girl but...when a guy looks like that..." She sheepishly admitted to the teen whose very soul dropped like a hammer into a pit, "You know what I mean, right?"

"Y-yeah...I know what you mean," Zack softly replied, sulking as he weakly began to unpack as well. After all these years, all the time in knowing her, Victoria meets Kurt for five seconds and he already had her attention. Zack frowned, of course Kurt did, he was an actual good looking guy, Zack was...well, he clearly wasn't Kurt and apparently that's what Victoria liked.

"Hey, are you okay?" Victoria gently called shaking Zack from his self-deprecating thoughts,

"Huh? Oh yeah, why?" Zack asked back, feigning a smile,

"Oh, don't lie to me, I know how to read people and just by looking at you, I can see you're upset," Victoria lightly replied as she spun around to sit on the edge of her bed, "Need someone to talk to?"

Zack couldn't help but feel a flickering of hope in his heart yet again, "It's...difficult to explain, if I could say it, I would," He lightly denied as he sat down on his bed as well. Quite clearly he couldn't tell Victoria he was upset because she found Kurt attractive,

"Chloe was being a little mean," Victoria suddenly said with a small nod, "You have a right to be frustrated,"

Zack instantly was perturbed "She...wait, what?"

Victoria easily raised her hand, "Zack, its okay," She said in a soft comforting tone, "I'm not judging you, I mean that,"

Zack tilted his head and lightly shook it in confusion, "What do you mean? Judging me?"

Victoria glanced to the door and then spoke in a whisper, "Its obvious about you and Gavin. I think its very sweet you two are together," Zack jaw dropped and his eyes were wide, blasted back by Victoria's words, "I hope you don't feel like you have to hide that from us, we're all open minded, Zack,"

"You think...you think that me and...me and Gavin?" Zack was barely able to ask back,

Victoria tilted her head, "Yeah...aren't you?"

"N-No!" Zack exclaimed, his eyes bugging out, "Gavin is only my friend, I'm not into guys, I like girls! Why would you think that I'm gay?!"

Immediately the roles were flipped and Victoria was the one now shocked, "Oh my god, Zack, I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean that in any derogatory way! I was genuinely trying to show you support, I swear to God!"

"B-But why did you even...I've never..." Zack blurted back as he got to his feet, starting to pace along his bed,

"Oh Jesus, Victoria," The blonde hissed back at herself, "I'm so sorry, Zack. I just figured that you were interested in men because...well, it seemed like it,"

"Seemed like it?" Zack asked back, groaning in anguish as he pushed his hands over his face and through his hair, "How did it seem like it?"

"W-Well, you are exceptionally nice, you seem to take a lot of care in how you look, you're soft spoken, it always seems like you and Gavin are together and...and since you always hang out with Chloe and the soccer team but never dated any of them,"

"I dated Lisa Rivera!" Zack desprately pointed out, "And I never dated Chloe because she's my best friend, the same way Gavin is my friend, only my friend!" The teen was almost pleading with Victoria at this point,

"I had no idea you dated Lisa Rivera, honestly Zack, and again, I wasn't trying to offend you. I wanted us to be friends, you know?" Victoria assured Zack as she now stood up, taking a few tentative steps towards the teen,

"Oh my god," Zack groaned again, "How is this happening to me?"

"Zack, please, this isn't that big of a deal. It was a personal hunch, nothing more, no one else thinks this...at least to my knowledge..." Victoria said, attempting to comfort the teen,

"Not a big deal?! I've had a crush on you for years and you think I'm into guys!" Zack exclaimed before freezing, his face going pale and his entire body froze,

"Oh Zack....oh, no, no, no, no," Victoria whispered under her breath, "Zack...I-I'm sorry, b-but I don't know if we..."

"Forget it, God, please, just forget it," Zack lowly said, as he started to back away, "I...I gotta, I need to..."

"Zack, wait, hang on, lets talk about this for just a moment, I don't want to leave it like this," Victoria lightly begged though Zack ignored her, walking out of the room without a second glance, "Oh lord, Victoria, what did you do?"
