So in the end what does the spell make?
Very angry thistles
The Condiment wizard built up a ball of sauerkraut above him, making it bigger and bigger until it was twice his size and three times as wide. He held it in there for a moment, the sauerkraut twisting on itself as it floated in the air. Then with zero warning, he broke the magic sauerkraut ball and had it shot out. Hundreds of much smaller sauerkraut balls soaked into the stored ketchup around him.
For a moment there was silence as he got his breathing under control; the spell talked a lot out of him. While the others watched in interest and anticipation at what was going to happen next. Even Condiment Wizard was shocked, as what appeared was not what he was expecting at all. As pterodactyls of all things sprouted up covered in thistles. The condiment wizard just stared for a moment, trying to understand.
The question of how he got Pterodactyls turned over and over again in his head as the others watched him, waiting for him to decide what he was going to do next. "Perhaps there had been dinosaur bones?" The Condiment wizard asked himself. It would make sense; it could even be there were traces of dinosaurs too small for modern science to find but more than enough for his sauerkraut magic to work. It was good to know he supposed that, which meant dinosaur museums were now targets for him.
Though he had to find where the real bones were, as the ones on display were just cast replicas rather than the real thing, he knew that. "Sir, what do you want to do?" The driver asked, shaking him from his thoughts. He looked around at his driver, dryads, and now thistle pterodactyls. Well, it hasn't been what he expected, but a dark wizard uses what he has.
Well, a plant attack seemed right out as he was looking at a swarm of flying monsters, not regular ground ones, so he supposed an air raid was in order. "Go forth, my creatures; get me the riches of Gotham!" Condiment Wizard roared to his thistle Pterodactyls, who immediately took flight and made their way towards Gotham City. The three dryads were heading towards Gotham as well.
"No dryads stay here. The bat family will be here soon enough." The Condiment wizard said to the dryads, who nodded and set up a perimeter the best they could, as they weren't trained or experienced in this type of thing. Though white dryad plant clones gave them plenty of eyes and quite the surprise, as he doubted anyone was expecting an army of naked women to be patrolling his perimeter.
So Condiment wizard stayed there in the center of his magic plant circle as his thistle pterodactyls took to the skies, going out and returning. Though as they did so, he noticed their numbers had increased, as at first there had only been about a dozen. Now there were three times that number; it seemed his sauerkraut spell was still making them, which was good to know.
The thistle Pterodactyls themselves also grew, as he noticed around on the third flight of the first ones coming back, where they were twice the size they had started out as. He wondered if there was a limit to that or if they would just keep growing perpetually. The other interesting thing was the haul he was getting was rather interesting; he had everything from stop signs to good jewelry. It seemed the rule for his thistle Pterodactyls was if it shined, it was valuable.
He was calm; all things considered, mostly just standing around and waiting for Batman and the rest to show up. The dryads, though, were tense, clearly trying to be as ready as possible for the counterattack, as it were. He wasn't concerned; he hoped to put up a good fight, but in the end he knew he was probably going to lose, but how badly he lost was the important thing. If he beat a few heroes before going down, it would further cement his position as Gotham's greatest wizard.
Though it turned out the heroes who were coming for him were not the one he had expected, as out of nowhere someone appeared from the nearby woods. They were screaming and moving fast, taking down several of his thistle Pterodactyls before they took it again. The dryads rushed to attack him. The condiment wizard stayed where he was, building up sauerkraut in both hands. "I'll show you my power!" The Condiment wizard screeched out a smile on his face at being able to use the classic evil wizard line.
Who's the hero attacking?
