Velma.

Velma knew in her heart of hearts that hypnosis was mostly a sham. It was less something that you could do to others than it was something that they do to themselves. She knew this, but she couldn’t shake the thrill of watching Daphne in Her trance at the circus.

Velma bought the book and coin on a whim at the next town on their trip. Shaggy and Scooby had gone in to a diner to stuff themselves. Fred was with the mystery machine at a mechanic to check the engine. And Daphne went straight to a motel for a shower. Velma hit up a kitschy little book store and spotted the book.

Opening the cover she found the old looking gold coin on a chain as a bookmark. She bought the book right away and took it outside to read. She didn’t know why but she read it as fast as she could. All the while she practiced the hand motions and the swing of the coin absent mindedly. With out tearing her eyes off of the pages she softly spoke practicing her soft and soothing tone.

By the time night fell she was ready to test her new kink on one of her unsuspecting friends. Or maybe she could find a local to test on first.
