Vanessa goes to Church

Head swirling with the possibilities, Vanessa quickly got dressed (like, really quickly, with a snap of her fingers) and went down to church. She had so much she needed to talk about with someone, and that seemed like the place to be now that she was God.

It was a Tuesday morning, and the church was locked. She flicked the lock and it opened up for her, and Vanessa sat down among the pews and waited for the pastor. After a few minutes she realized he wasn't expecting anyone to be at church on Tuesday morning and was probably off doing whatever it is churchmen did during the week. Vanessa concentrated on her power, and a few moments later, Pastor Andy arrived and was startled to see her waiting for him.

"Vanessa, I'm surprised to see you here. We're not normally open now."

"I know," she said with a smile. "But I wanted to talk and I thought I might get lucky."

"Well you certainly are, I only came in because I forgot some papers in my office," said Pastor Andy.

"Sure you did," said Vanessa dismissively.

Pastor Andy blinked. "I'm sorry?"

He was middle-aged, a bit soft around the waist, and bald with thick plastic lenses in his glasses. He tried for this Approachable Man of God thing, which didn't work so well because what he said when people approached him was that God hates queers.

But God was a transsexual now, so Pastor Andy was shit out of luck.
