Twins and the Rule of One.

The shuttle touched down on the opposite platform of the Mustafar facility. Anakin watched the landing gear touch ground. Steam shot from the ship as the ramp lowered. One by one the shock troopers of the Coruscant guard lined up on either side. Anakin bent the knee to the final figure in black robes. The former Chancellor, now Emperor Sheev Palpatine. The Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious.

In one hand, Anakin held out a lightsaber. The former weapon of his now dead master.

"My lord, Obi-Wan Kenobi is dead." Anakin said with his head bowed low.

"Gooooooood." Sidious chuckled while clapping. "You have exceeded my expectations. This is truly a momentous day for the Sith. Cast aside that weapon, so I may grant you this.'

Sidious held out a lightsaber. similar to Anakin's current weapon but with a black hilt. Anakin grabbed the blade and ignited it for the first time. A crimson light shot out, blending perfectly with the molten ash filled air of the planet. Anakin's eyes glowed along with it.

"Rise my friend, forget your past and all you hold dear, Lord Vader. Our Empire awai--

Anakin sprang from the ground and plunged his new weapon deep in his master's heart. The voice of Sidious fell silent.

"Our Empire, Master?" Anakin gave his own chuckle. "So ends the Tragedy of Darth Sidious the Blind."

The red blade retracted and Sidious fell lifeless before the new Dark Lord of the Sith. He would kneel to no one no more.

The clones blasters were raised. Pointing at the man who killed their leader. But their trigger fingers froze in confusion and fear. Anakin just stood and waited for one of them to fire. Instead they lowered their blasters.

"We await your orders, My lord." Commander Fox reported.

"Have some of your men grab a Med Capsule and come with me. The rest will dispose of the bodies. I want this facility destroyed on our way off this planet." Anakin ordered.

“Sir, yes sir!” Fox shouted and followed orders.

Anakin and the troopers headed back to Padme’s ship with the capsule in tow. R2-D2 arrived to the ship as well. Anakin had Padme in stasis til they made it to Coruscant.

The facility burned to ash as they left.

The ship arrived at the coruscant medical center. The ship was escorted by a pair of V-Wings to insure no delays. Landing on the pad guarded by the Coruscant guard. As soon as the ramp hit the ground, Anakin rushed Padme into the facility.

“Is she gonna be okay?” Anakin asked the medical staff.

“She is in good health sir, we expect her to the deliver the babies just fine.” The doctor said.

“Babies?”

“She’s carrying twins, sir.” The doctor comfirmed.

And indeed Padme delivered a healthy set of twins. One boy who she named Luke and a girl she named Leia. Anakin was by her side the entire time as held and named their kids. Nursing droids then cared for the kids and Padme. Anakin meanwhile contacted Commander Fox.

“Sir, the leadership have gathered in the executive building conference room. They await your arrival.” Fox reported.

“Have the clone commanders reported back yet?” Anakin asked.

“They have, they answer to you my lord.” Fox decreed.

“Give me an update on order 69.” Anakin requested.

“Reports confirm several live captures. But no sign of the prime target.”

“Very good commander.” Anakin cut the transmission. Now to take the final step to true power. The galaxy will have a new Emperor. Assured that Padme and the babies were taken care of, Anakin boarded a transport to the executive building.

It was time to seize power.
