To use the Other Half of the Mask!

Hinata looked up and saw the cloned Ootsutsuki standing over the motionless body of Kakashi. Realizing that time was almost up, Hinata made up her mind. She looked over and yelled out to Sakura grabbing both her and the intruder’s attention. He casually dropped Kakashi’s body as he stared curiously at her. Hinata gulped as a wave of intruder’s killing intent rolled over her. Steeling her resolve Hinata continued, “Sakura! Quickly, one foot to left of you is the other half of this mask, I need you to grab it!” she yelled while holding up her piece. Sakura was shocked by the half faced appearance of Kaguya’s face in Hinata’s hand. She then looked down and saw the half Hinata mentioned. Questions began racing through Sakura’s head. Why did Hinata have a mask of Kaguya, and why would she bring it to a war zone like this? What purpose did it have. The only thing she did know was if it involved Kaguya, it was probably bad. Seeing the look on Sakura’s face, Hinata could already tell what she was thinking. She then yelled out to her, “Sakura! I need you to wear your half of the mask. I know you have seen Kaguya’s power personally, but you have to trust me. In our hands hold the pieces to possibly help save the village and Kakashi. Please listen to me!” Realizing Hinata wouldn’t be asking this of she didn’t have some plan or idea of it these pieces worked, Sakura bent over and took the other piece of the mask. As soon as her hand made contact with the other half, she felt a light pulse emanate from it. Hinata felt her half pulse again as well. They both looked down at the halves in their hands when they felt the halves pulse again, but it was a stronger feeling this time. Both sets of eyes started to haze over as their hearts started pounding in their chests.

The Ootsutsuki clone’s mood changed from being curious of the two girls girls standing in the rubble, to that of his normal, insane and murderous rage. He then went sprinting towards Hinata with makeshift sword in hand. This snapped both girls out of their trance. Realizing no other way to save her, Sakura yelled out as she held her half to her face, “Ah screw it! Hinata I’ll do it!” Hearing that was all Hinata needed she quickly put her half up to her face as well. Just as the clone got in front of Hinata, she and Sakura yelled, “Now!” simultaneously and they each both put on their respective halves. A burst of energy and chakra exploded from both girls, blowing back the clone through several buildings, as a vortex dense malevolent chakra began to encircle and envelop the each of them. The vortexes began to shroud their form showing nothing but that of their silhouettes.

The Kaguya mask halves latched on slapping violently onto Hinata’s and Sakura’s faces, they both let out a loud low groan. Stumbling backwards in the vortexes they recoiled from the impact, as the once ornate mask halves clamped firmly around the single side of their heads. Each one shuddered and creaked launching small tendrils that clamped around their heads, beginning to writhe and knead into their facial features. Loud moans echoed from the vortexes as they could feel their chakra being violently and forcefully drawn from within their bodies. The Mask halves began to soften taking on a more elastic flesh like feeling as it pressed harshly into their faces, kneading and mould at their soft facial features. Hinata and Sakura winced uncomfortably as the pieces continued to writhe atop their faces, creaking and cracking as it slowly slivered across the uncovered portions of their faces. Hinata and Sakura again moaned loudly, feeling their own drawn chakra swirling and mixing with the stored chakra in the halves.
